Today I’m in the country
Never will I want to leave
The cove is my home
With birds that sing good morning
I feel at peace
Nothing could end this master piece
Even at night
It is beautiful
Stars shine like diamonds
But if there is no stars
Lightning bugs will light up your night
Watch as they dance over the river bank
Sadly one day this will be gone
Birds won’t sing
Stars won’t shine through smug
Lighting bugs quite dancing
Beauty gone
Just for progress
How could people do this?
To a peaceful place
It truly is a big mistake
