The Trotting Dead

Chapter ONE~The Beginning

       All was quiet in Sweet Apple Acres. The breeze flew over the trees filling an Oak-Lake scent through out the pasture. But then, there was an huge explosion. It woke me up. Scared the jitters out of me. "Huh?" I said as I woke up. I saw the mushroom cloud rising in the distance, I went to go put my window up but the smelled horrible. I went to go close back the door and go out, "I better go check if Applebloom is alright." I said as I started walking down the halls to Applebloom's room. Slowly I grabbed the door knob and twisted it clockwise.
I opened the door to see Applebloom at the edge of her bed, startled at the boom. "You okay Applebloom?" "Yeah just fine sis, that explosion near scared the mane out of me." She said playfully. "Ok I'm a gonna check in on Big Mac." She waved goodbye as I left the room.
When I opened Big Mac's door, he was still sleepin. "Gosh darn it Mac." I say as I throw a pillow on him. "Wake up, did you seriously sleep through the explosion?" "Eeyup." He said as he got up. "A'right well I'll go check on Granny okay?" "Eeyup." He said as I walked out the room. Granny's door was wide open. When I looked in, there was no Granny. But a huge blood stain on the door and a busted window. "Gah!" I said as I saw the scenery. I rushed outside to find her and then I found her. Lying on the ground surrounded by blood.
"Granny Smith?" I said as I walked over to her. "Glahhhh." She said as she got up and started to chase me. That is not Granny. It's a monster. I grabbed a shovel and used the edge to slice her head clean off. She fell on the floor dead.
Startled by the commotion Big Mac and Applebloom came running out. I explained the situation to them. "We have to find the others." I said as I got in the family truck. They got in and we left.
     Our first stop was Sugarcube Corner. I rammed tons of Trotters as I came to a stop. I gave a loud honk and shouted.                 "PINKIE PIE, GIT OUT HERE AND GET IN THE TRUNK NOW!!!!!!!"
She ran out and leaped in. We drove away fast.
      I grabbed a shotgun out of the back and started shooting Trotters like crazy. We came to our second stop.  Fluttershy's cottage. "FLUTTER-" I was cut off when she jumped in. We drove away.
      Our third stop was Twilight's library. Twilight,Rainbow, and Scootaloo rushed out the building and jumped in. We immediately left and headed towards Carousel Boutique.
       We arrived and the house was surrounded by Trotters. Rarity was screaming as she darted out. "Rarity! Get in." "Nonono, that truck is all rusted and, no way." "Rarity if you don't get in this truck by the count of three, I will leave you here and you will die." Her face became distraught. "1..." She frantically shifting her eyes. "2..." "OK OK ILL GET IN!" She jumped in and we drove out of town.
"Everypony okay." They all nodded. "Good, there has been an outbreak. These things are supposed to be dead. I call 'em Trotters." They all looked very scared. All of them were not damaged in any way luckily. "We're leaving. Don't ask where or why. Just sit down and relax." Soon we were far from the town borders. This was the start of a horrible journey, that loomed ahead.
