At that moment the line from Beck's song "Scarecrow" came in my head and repeated over and over. "Scarecrows only scarin' itself." Zakula laughed in my brain. I can't believe that ass! "What did you do!?" I whispered as I pressed my back against my front door. "It was HILARIOUS! Me and some pals went out after I took over your body, we dined and dashed. So that was our problem! We needed money so I robbed a bank." He said laughing. "The dough is all under your bed!" He thought this was so funny. I just stood there. "Come out with your hands up!" The police man said through his loud megaphone. I couldn't think, I couldn't breathe, not that I needed to anyways. Now apart from bullies who think I'm super lame, I have the police on my trail. "Oh god." I managed to say. I locked my door and pretended I wasn't home. I just stood there against the door. The police started banging on my door. The vibrations made me shake. "For a vampire, your just weak man..." Zakula said. Ignoring Zakula, I figured the police wouldn't leave. I sighed and turned around. I unlocked the door. "What are you doing!? Idiot!!!!" Zakula panicked. I ran back up the stairs into my room. "This girl at school, you know hat freaky one? Blonde hair, green eyes... Uh.... Name started with an E? Eleanor or something? Anyway, she gave me this 'potion' that supposedly makes people invisible for an hour." I said as I searched my cluttered room. "One, her name is Elena!" Zakula spat, "two, your really gonna believe her?! The chick is crazy!!!" He said. I then pulled out a small glass bottle with blue liquid in it out from my top drawer. I could hear the police opening the door. "Worth a shot." I said. I took the cork off and swigged the whole thing. I felt a slight tingle go through me. "Owwwwwwwww! That shit is strong!!!!!" Zakula yelled as he clutched his head. I could see him fall on his knees, then start rolling around my brain. I looked at my feet, they slowly started to fade, then my legs. "Make it stop!!!! I can't take the burning!!" Zakula yelled. Steam came from his head. I laughed. "It doesn't hurt." I said. "I'm sensitive! Shut up!" He spat. "Clearly." I mumbled. I looked down again. I couldn't see my chest, or my arms. The police started searching my house. I could hear them opening cupboards and drawers. They were calling for me. My arms were completely gone, the tingling sensation was now in my head. "Oooouch!!!!! Dammit!!! Aaaaaagh!" Zakula wailed, I swear I saw a tear go down his cheek as he rolled in pain. I felt my hair stand up and finally, I felt nothing. "Zachariah Bagans! Come out from hiding!" An officer called from the stairs. They were coming upstairs! "Did it work?!" I whispered. I walked over to my bed and hopped on it. I made no noise when I took steps, and I didn't make an imprint on my bed either. Zakula coughed, he was shaking. Tears were pouring down his cheeks and he just laid on the floor of my skull and whimpered. "The pain..." He said. A police officer entered my room. He was obviously a smoker, as soon as he stepped in my room filled with the scent of cigarettes and coffee. He wore a blue police suit and hat. I noticed the gun on his belt. The officer looked around my room. He checked in my closet, in my dresser drawers, but never seemed to notice me. The he looked at the bed. I hoped off and hit the floor beside him. He didn't hear me, sense me or see me. I made no noise. He looked under my bed and gasped. "I found it!" He yelled. Then he pulled out a huge garbage bag, full of money. I was going to gasp, but I held it in. Other police men and women came up stairs. Four of them now stood in my room. "Zachariah is out of sight, we'll start an investigation." One officer said. After a good five minutes of searching in my house, they finally left. I stood there. Silent, invisible. Standing on my room floor, beside my bed, staring at my room door. Zakula moaned, he stopped crying. He got up clutching his stomach. "I hate Elena... She's hot and all, but she's crazy." He said. "You deserve it! You got me in trouble!" I yelled. "G-go to the...mirror." He moaned. I rolled my eyes and obeyed, walking out of my room and into the washroom. I looked in the cracked mirror. For a split second I saw nothing, like a usual vampire, but since birth I've had a reflection, only for a second, then it was Zakula. I saw him in the mirror. His cheeks were red and sticky from tears. His eyes looked dull and dead from pain. His blonde hair, was now messy instead of being pointed up like a shark fin as usual. "That...hurt." He said. "How!? I didn't feel anything!" I said. He rolled his eyes and sighed. "Food, I'm hungry... Feed me." He ordered. "I don't need to listen to you!" I snapped. I was so mad at him. "Screw you too." He said. That's his catchphrase. He usually said it with a smile, but he was in too much pain. I walked out of the washroom and I felt Zakula come out of the mirror and into my head. Zakula was my split personality. He lived in my head, and in mirrors. When he took over my body, I went in his head. It was complicated, but a horrible way of living life. I walked down the stairs, missing the cold marble feeling on my feet. I walked into my kitchen. All my cupboards were open, the drawers as well. Ignoring the mess, I opened the fridge and pulled out a beer. "No...please don't drink that, I mean, I'm totally happy when your drunk because then I get more powerful, but... I can't take any more uhhh... Fizz." He said. "This will hurt you?" I asked. "Yes!" He spat. I smiled. "Cheers my friend." I said. I cracked the can open and chugged it. "Aaaak! Noooooooo!" Zakula yelled. He cringed and then started screaming again, blood came from his mouth and steam came from his ears. I laughed, then realized my situation again. The police were after me...for something I never did.
