Tears streamed down Hinata's face as she ran aimlessly through the rainy night, her boots splashed against the puddles then she found a bench and sat down. Her legs were pulled into her chest and her head resting between her knees. Words her father had said played over and over in her head, and pierced her like a knife.

Failure. Weak. Worthless.

Her lavender eyes began to burn more and more as she clenched them shut in an attempt to block out his voice.

"Hinata!" A flashing yellow haired shinobi started taking off his jacket and ran to her concerned about her current state. Hinata was too focused on shutting out the stabbing pain that she didn't notice the boy rushing to her side. Warm cloth covered her shoulders and she lifted her head up to familiar calming blue eyes and a warm smile.

"Naruto-" Strong arms embraced around her, she couldn't help but find comfort as her head pressed against Naruto's broad chest covered only with a short sleeved net shirt.

"It's ok Hinata I'm here for you." He squeezed her tighter trying to put back the broken pieces of her heart. So many times Hinata has been the sunshine to light his rainy days, and now he wants to be her rainbow.

"N-Naruto-kun don't you'll get sick." Hinata pleaded as the rain poured down on Naruto's now flat and wet hair. He lifted her weight effortlessly into his arms, a gentle smile crossed his lips and he told her he didn't care.

Warm sheets enveloped her body as the male ninja set her down lightly on his bed then handed her a dry pair of clothes. Hinata blushed at the idea of wearing Naruto's clothes, and followed him as he led her to the bathroom then stopped at the doorway.

"Just tell me if you need anything I'll be happy to help." He smiled with a dorky grin.

"Thank you Naruto-kun I will." She flashed him a gentle smile before walking into the bathroom to remove her drenched clothes.

Naruto sat on the couch as he waited, and turned on the television. About five minutes later he felt a light tap on his shoulder then turned around to see the dark haired Hinata wearing his baggy jacket and a light blush across her face.

"I-it was so big it covered my legs enough to be a night gown." Naruto chuckled and swiftly got off the couch meeting her hands with his and slowly placed a kiss on her forehead.

"It's perfect." The heiress turned tomato red then stepped into Naruto giving him a soft hug.

"Naruto I-"Her voice was interrupted with firm lips colliding with hers, making her body go limp and lean into him as he placed his hands at her waist. The back of the couch was soon pressed against her for support because she could no longer stand on her weak legs.
"Hinata thank you." Light teal eyes met her lavender as he pulled away from the kiss and smiled.

"You've always been there for me and I've never gotten the chance to show you how much I care." Naruto's kind words made tears threaten to escape her eyes. 'No I can't cry now, I have to be strong for him.' She lifted her head wiping her tears and returned the smile.

"I think we should get some rest now, Lady Tsunade said she had an important mission waiting for you tomorrow." She slid gently out of his embrace and made her way to the bed blushing as she sat down. "Where will you sleep Naruto?" The male ninja flushed and made his way to the bed. "I guess well just have to sleep together."

Hinata turned red and immediately covered her face. "Unless you don't want me to!" He started to back away until he felt a tug on the back of his jacket. Turning around Hinata's head was hidden under a curtain of her hair as she spoke quietly.

"No. . . I want you too." Silence filled the room and Hinata thought he had left until the covers lifted beneath her and warm arms wrapped around her waist.

"Goodnight Hinata." The fox boy immediately fell asleep once his head snuggled into her, making her flush then relax as she smiled down at his sleeping faced.

"Oyasumi Naruto-Kun."
