What Randhir saw next made the ground beneath him slip. Sanyukta laid on a bed and took of her head gears. He was shocked to see her beautiful silky hair gone. Pale face and body much leaner than he saw months back.

He took his steps back and observed the doctors doing some laser therapy on her. It pained him seeing her in pain . Tears started flowing from his own eyes. Her each wince caused his heart to ache badly. He saw Ahaan coming outside and hid behind a wall. As soon as he came out and was going further when Randhir caught hold of his wrist.

Ahaan looked at him intently and was shocked as he never imagined to see Randhir here. They've not told anybody about this.

A: what are you doing here? How come u know we are here?

Randhir sensed the vulnerability in his voice and the mask of strength he was trying to put on . So he just hugged him as it felt right at this moment.
Ahaan started crying watching sanyu through the mirror.

A: leukaemia, bl..blood can...cancer!!

He hiccuped with each word as it was becoming difficult for him to speak. Randhir was patting his back to console him but his eyes were flowing too. No one was there to console him. What he thought and what was happening. He was cursing that day when he let her go.

Ahaan was letting out all the pent up emotions of 4 months. He didn't had a shoulder to cry upon or let his feelings out as it would cause her to break but now his dam broke seeing Randhir.

A: toot gayi hai wo andar se...ek ...ek baar to she said plss...plss kill me...imagine my sanyu saying this. Raat ko uth jaati hai dard ke vajah se or chikhti hai... It has become difficult at nights...us...usne to kisika kuch nhi bigaada to phir wo kyun

Randhir made him sit on the chair and went to bring a glass of water. He drank it in a go letting out a sigh.

Rd: when did you get to know about this?

A: her blood samples were taken in India only.

He told all the occurrences of the day when she was lying unconscious.

A: then the doctor mailed me the reports after two days and told me consult an oncologist. First I didn't tell her as i wanted to know the exact thing. Dr. Smith who is treating her right now told me about the cancer and that it is curable as it's at first stage. He told that she was lucky as symptoms developed in the first stage itself otherwise we could have lost her in later stages. When I told her she didn't even react and just smiled asking which stage. She thanked god that it was only the first stage but at night when i went in her room her pillow was soaked in tears.

Doctor came out and walked towards Ahaan.

D: you can take her after two hours. She is sleeping.

A: okay. Thank you.

Rd: umm...I'll come at night.

A: sure

Rd: pls don't tell her i am here.

Ahaan just nodded while Randhir went away.
