Chapter one

"Again? How could you do this Skyler? You always wake up this late! Why can't you just be good in this one too?" I tell myself. "As a student I am good at everything. Just leave it and do quickly because you can't be late". 

****** (time-skip)

I run to the kitchen and get myself a croissant. "You overslept, AGAIN," says my younger sister, Maya, to me. "Yeah I know, but I am gonna make it," I say, quickly before drinking my favourite juice (mango)." You do know that Angie is waiting for you, right?" says Maya, emphasizing Angie's name. "Shit, I forgot that. She is gonna kill me, FOR SURE." I shout to myself while running to the door. I hear her giggle untill I get outside the door.

It's already 6 o'clock, Angie must be waiting at the park. I run through the streets to the park at my fastest.
"Here is our lady who must win an Oscar for being late," says Angie. "Sorry, you know how difficult it is for me to wake up this early", I tell her, while giving her a tight hug. "Okay, never mind, we need to hurry, or we can say goodbye to our train", says Angie, rolling her eyes. I say okay, still embarrassed, and we leave for our train.

Totally dying out of breath, we reach the station with our luggage in one hand. "FIVE MORE MINUTES", shouts Angie, scaring the hell out of me.

We run to our platform and luckily, get our train at the very last minute. "This is the fastest train to our university." says my friend, very relieved. I nod and smile seeing her that relieved.

"One more stop before we reach our station. I really hope the bus doesn't show up late like always," says Angie, a bit annoyed. I smiled quietly at her reaction.
"First, we are gonna go to our dormitory, okay?" I say before opening the door. "Okay", she answers while going to the bus station.

I shout, "Hurry, 2 minutes left!". We run to our bus. "Today is our lucky day, first the train and now the bus", says Angie, giving me a satisfied look. I agreed with her.

We got out of the bus after a few stops. I tell my friend "Angie I can see our building from here, we should be almost there now.", after seeing our dormitory. Our building has 3 parts. My room is in the middle part, Angie's in left and Emily's on right.

Angie reads Em's message very loudly, "Did you guys arrived already?", which kinda scared me. She laughs amusingly when she saw me getting scared. "I texted Em that we are here. She already left for the class, so we need to hurry", says Angie.

I tell her to leave her luggage in her room and I will also do the same. I take the lift and press 2nd button, because my room is on the second floor. The lift stops once reaching my floor and the door opens. I rush to my room and get my keys. The hallway is very quiet, maybe because it's Monday morning.

While opening my room, I hear a silent noise coming from the door of the stairs. I go toward that door, only to see NOTHING. I went back to my room thinking that I must be dreaming. Once reaching my room, I put my luggage down and shut the door slowly, leaving to go to the ground floor.

Angie was still not here so I just sat there, looking at a beautiful fountain. I see Angie coming after a few minutes. While reaching our university, I started to get a weird feeling, like someone was following us. So, I look around, but Angie pulled me quickly to her. Before I could process this weird situation, we already had reached the hallway of our uni.

"What happened? What in the earth are you thinking girl?", says a worried Angie. "I had a feeling that someone was following us, but before I could do anything, you had pulled me inside", I say casually, trying not to worry her. She still didn't look convinced, but just when she opened her mouth, Em arrived.
"Are you 2 gonna stay here? The lecture is about to start, so let's go, I don't want to lose the best spot.", says Em with puppy eyes.

"Em", we shout happily and gave her the tightest hug possible. Angie, now got distracted by Em. I was happy that I didn't had to undergo her interrogation. She gets worried VERY EASILY. "You are totally right Em, but can we quickly go to the toilet? Pretty please, and besides we still have FIVE minutes", I say and she nods, smiling.

We looked relieved at each other when we saw a empty ladies room. We all look to a mirror and that's when I start to think about who it could be that was following us. I never felt this way before.

"Let's leave for our class", I hear them saying together which brought me back to the reality.
So, I leave for my class with my two best friends with a sparkle of growing fear in my heart.
