I was awoken promptly at 6:00 in the morning by the alarm clock on my phone. The sound of heavy guitars played loudly. I had set the volume at it highest in an attempt to wake myself up on time, and still I layed in bed until 6:45. Every morning I'd tell myself that I'd get up at 6:30. That never happened. It was always 6:45. And as I got up to get dressed, I felt as though something was different. I had no idea what it could be. It might of been the fact that when I turned around all my stuff had been packed, or the fact that my mother stood in my door way with another person. It was kinda creepy honestly, we just stood and stared at each other for what had seemed like a lifetime but in reality it was only thirty seconds.

"Uhh..." was the first thing I said as I looked onto the setting before me. I wouldn't say that I was scared or anything but I was curious. Not about why my things had been packed, but my curiosity was pointed towards the person next to my mom. From what I could tell, it was a boy. He leaned against my doorway coolly and said absolutely nothing. His long black hair covered his face masking him from my line of vision, and that bothered me. How could you just walk into my house and not say hello?

"Um... Hello", I spoke with uncertainty, "I'm Silas, and you are-"

"I know who you are already" he cut me off quickly. His voice was raspy and soft at the same time. He had an underlying coldness to his tone, one that I did not appreciate. Considering I had done nothing wrong, he had no reason to be rude to me. Not only that but he was in my house.( My house, my rules *insert evil laughter* )

"Excuse me?" I said in a surprised tone. He can't possible know anything about me, but with the presence of my mother here I wouldn't doubt all the information she shared with him. I did not get a reply from him. Instead, he lifted up one hand and slowly pulled his hair behind his left ear. He turned his head to look at me and raised one eyebrow. Now being able to see his face, I was mesmerized. He had two piercings: one to the left of his lower lip and another on his left eyebrow (The one raised in question at me). The light from my window hit his face at an angle, making his eyes sparkle even though they looked dead.

As I studied his face, I found that his eyes were the most interesting things to come across. They were odd yet amazing. It had appeared that they were two different colors, and not like a mix a colors in both eyes. I mean they were literally two different colors. One eye was a bright jaded-like color, shining brilliantly like that of grass on a bright summer day. While the other one was a cold gray-like color, much like the rain after funeral. His eyes were beautiful, but they were sad eyes. The green and gray looking more like a devastating natural disaster.

Eventually, I noticed he was staring at me with the same kind of curiosity though I did not know why. I wasn't anything special. My hair was black like his, the only difference was that it was longer, a curly mess, and the entire right side was dyed silver. My eyes were blue, but they didn't sparkle. They were as dull as an old, worn out t-shirt. My complexion was a caramel-like tan color and my face was sprinkled with freckles here and there. My nose resembled that of a button, and the rest of my features were pixie-like.

As the staring continued, and time passed I decided to ask the question I had been thinking since I woke up this morning. I had no idea what this boy's name is or what he is doing in my house. My mother hadn't been of much help considering she somehow snuck off while I was distracted.

"So...", I said while dragging out the 'o', "You got a name?"

More silence.

I waited patiently for him to answer as he took a deep breath and let it out slowly. He pushed himself up from the door frame, and turned his body so that he was facing me. He was tall, that's for sure though his fair skin gave him very little life. Finally he gave into my patience, and told me what I wanted to hear.

"My name is Blaine.", he spoke quickly and softly with a voice like velvet.

Such a strange name for a strange boy. I thought to myself as I repeated his name to lock it into memory. He said nothing more, and returned his body back to it's original position against my doorframe. I just loved how just decided that he doesn't need to explain why-

"You can stop glaring at me now-", he spoke calmly, "I'm going to explain why i'm here as soon as your mom decides to stop hiding in the hallway." And at that exact moment my mom came out of hiding and huffed. Clearly upset that he had caught her eavesdropping.

"Well now that you've all caught me, I suppose I should explain the situation at hand here." she spoke in a dainty tone, " To put it short, we already know what happen school."

My mind began to race. She couldn't possible be talking about what I think she is. There is no possible way she could be talking about the tree. I don't even know what happen, and I definitely didn't on just casually walking up to my mom and saying 'Hey mom, at tree magically got destroyed by lightning when I got mad but it no big deal, don't worry'.

"What are you talking about?" I asked calmly with a blank face. I put my hands behind to they wouldn't see that they were shaking. I just had to play it off like nothing happen. You know, my window isn't that far... maybe I could jump out and run for it? My heart was beating so fast, but on the outside I was calm and unbothered.

" You know exactly what we are talking about. I can hear you heart beating going 50 miles a minute" he laughed at my attempted lie and glanced at me with a sly smile. My mom was also smiling.

" You're just like me, you know" my mom spoke with a nostalgic look on her face.

"Ok, fine-" I confessed, "-maybe a tree did mysteriously get destroyed, but I have NO idea had it happen", I said with all my honesty.

"Tell us exactly what happened, all the way up to the tree getting burned." Blaine spoke turning his full attention to me once more.

"Anna is her group had surrounded me. I didn't do anything to them. I was just eating my lunch under the willow tree. They were bullying me. I was helpless and couldn't do anything. All I had was smart remarks and sarcasm. I guess I made her mad and she tried to slap me, but I caught her wrist before she could and that when the tree got zapped. I turned around to the tree and then back to the girls. They were all surrounding Anna as she cradled her wrist that looked very bruised. They looked me in the eye and screamed and then I ran away." I spoke quickly with a concerned look on my face. " I can still remember the way my hands and body shook and I feat electricity at my fingertips. It was... terrifying" I said with a huff.

My mom and Blaine looked at each other for what seemed like forever. Then Blaine nodded his head. My mom's face fell and I saw tears brimming in her eyes.

" She is the one isn't she?" she wept. Blain said nothing. He grabbed two of the suitcases and walked down stairs, leaving me alone with my crying mother.
