Closing the door after a drunk Danielle makes her way down the hall to the elevator I stand there staring at the dark wood of my door but not truly seeing it. Though we didn't speak more about the Trey situation it was more than obvious throughout the reminder of the night that it was on her mind just as much as it was on mines.

I feel so awkward! I mean she and I were becoming friends and I really liked her but how can we actually become friends if it will always be in the back of her mind and mines that I slept with the man that she loves!?!

I need to talk to Trey.

"Why are you staring at the door?" A slurred voice calls out from the living room.

"I don't even know where to start." I mean yeah Danielle asked me not to say anything but Nicole and I share everything! How can I not tell her what the hell was going on?

"About what? why do I feel like I'm the only one still drunk suddenly?"

"I need to talk to Trey before I can even pretend like I know what's really going on."

"Okay...so is he coming over so I can finally meet this man who actually made my best friend cheat on her B.O.B"

"Uh no. I think I'll wait to introduce you two until New Orleans. But are you planning on staying up much longer cause I think it's a shower then bed for me."

"Yeah me too. I think I'll go see if that clone of yours is still awoke then I'll probably clock out as well. What time are we heading out again?"

After settling onto the sofa next to her and throwing my legs across her lap, I grab the remote turning off the television.

"I was planning on you and me taking Tiana out for breakfast in the morning before bringing her over to my parents' place and then I guess when can take it from there. I don't see any reason for us to be trying to head out too soon. I don't want to get caught up in any traffic or anything. But I don't want to leave out too late either. So I guess again we'll see how it goes in the morning."

"Cool." Nicole pushes my legs off her lap standing up and grabbing her phone off the table. "I'm going to say goodnight to my god baby and then facetime this crazy man of mines, he's been texting me all damn night. Even though he is supposedly out with his friends."

"Aww he misses his snuggle bear!"

"Girl bye."

As Nicole heads down the hall towards Chase's room I take out my phone preparing to text Trey, when it begins to buzz in my palm. Speaking of the man of the hour.

"Well hello there...I was just about to text you."

"Yeah? About what?"

"Nothing really just saying hey." I listen as he begins to laugh.

"You were texting to say hey at uhh...." His voice begins to sound muffled as he takes his phone away from his face. "11:48 at night?"

"I guess. Have you talked to Danielle today?"

There's a moment of silence and then heavy breathing as he takes a deep breath. "Yeah. We talk almost every day. Why?"

"Um just asking. She just left here a few minutes ago."

"She did?! Why?"

"Um because we're friends and that's what's friends do. Why you don't want us hanging out?"

Does he know how she feels about him? I mean they're best friends... But could he not know and just see her as a sister or a home girl? Thinking about it that's how he usually treats her, but then there are times when you would swear there was more going on.
