I can go for walks again. There's sun and warm wind and the grass is green. The woods behind my house are beautiful when all the trees have leaves again.
We get crazy wild storms up on my mountain. Warm rain is my favorite, I love to go out and just watch it pour. I like to run outside when it starts, jean shorts and a tshirt, no shoes. Twirl around, dance. I'm soaked but I don't care.
I get to wear shorts and tanktops and I can work out outside and listen to the birds in the morning. I can wake up at 4 in the morning again and go for a walk to wake up. I can ride my quad and yell and shout and be free.
I can go down to the barn and visit the cows, they always like to listen to my stories.
At night I like to stay outside and watch the lightning bugs come alive. There must be thousands of them in our fields. They blink like stars, my own private solar system. I hear the coyotes calling, the pups whining in the woods.
