Hi , well I'm Amanda and well i moved to California 3 years ago and let me tell you this , when your a country girl like me who just moved from Texas to California , you get judged and asked a lot of questions. I particularly hate moving i've had to do it a lot cause my dad was in the Army , he retired so we decided to move to California to be closer to my aunt and uncle and everyone else in my weirdo family , great huh? i mean , i love some of them but i mainly hate all the drama that my grandma and uncle make because they can't go a day without fighting and of course drag my mother into it.
Anyhow, first day of a new school this might be cool , make some new friends and be cool, not. I am the girl who doesn't have expensive things and doesn't have the best hair , and worst part of all , i have acne. Well right there is what caused problems for me because everyone called me a pimpled face freak. Well , i need to made some friends , but i am particularly the weird type of girl who is shy, akward, and is NOT girly. so i'm looking for a non-preppy , and not girly, type of friend. Just my luck , they are all snobs , so instead i make friends with a couple of guys , okay they seem pretty cool. So i had a pretty good day. School is over so i went home , i get home and i'm all by my self and then my mom and brother, Ryan get home. Ryan and I don't get along to well, we don't have much in common except for the fact that we both like making fun of one another.
Well , my mom asks me how my day was and i say i had a good day , and tell her i made some new friends, then i bring up how i like Texas better and she seems to be listening then my extremely rude brother, interupts me and starts talking about his day, well im 9 at this time and my brother is 15. my mother is obviously more interested in his day because he has more exciteing things to tell her. So , it's 9pm and i'm tired so i finish my homework and i pick out clothes for school and make sure i got everything and i go to bed.
Well , here it is 7am and i have to get ready so get dressed , brush my hair and teeth , go to the kitchen get breakfast and then i sit down on the couch and watch T.V. for 10 mins. well 10 mins are up mom, dad , and my brother left and i have to walk to school , lucky me it's around the corner. I lock the door and start walking to school i get there and i got made fun of for hanging out with the guys. so i go home and i finished my homework and i went outside and sat on the sidewalk and looked at the clouds, i know "looked at the clouds what the hell , you weirdo" yeah i had no friends near my house or anything , well my mom tells me to go get the mail on the corner so i get the key and go, i look up and this girl is walking to me, she lives down the street and she looks my age, she says "Hi, im kallista whats your name?" she seems nice so i say "Hi , im Amanda " well you probably already know, we become best friends well a year later and i have to move, just great ,i thought i was done with this when my dad retired? We move to this small area behind this store named Raley's and im gonna start at a new school after summer going into the 6th grade. Well i started there and just my luck i made so many friends on the first day , i met this girl named Caitlin she was 3in. taller than me but we were just alike , we acted the same , we looked the same , we dressed the same , she was like my sister. we hung out with these boys who all followed this guy named Jason, me and him always were fighting , it wasn't till a week after hanging out with him when i realized i liked him. Well he is my best friends ex-boyfriend, im in so much trouble if she finds out so i just keep it to myself. It's now October and i find out i'm moving AGAIN, great just great. My last day of school there comes October 16th, 2011 i get a call from my bestfriend , Tallon , who is also bestfriends with Jason , so i answer we start talking and he says he's hanging out with Jason , i start freaking out on the inside but on the outside i act normal.
Jason takes the phone and we start talking, then he says he wants to tell me something, in my mind im freaking out even more now, he says " I like you" im thinking it's a prank and he's messing with me so i say "yeah, whatever" he tells me "I really do i always have" i remind him im moving in 3 days. we talk all night and finally i just tell him i like him too , and he says "why don't we try the long distance thing?" i say "sure why not?" so we start dating. 1 month later he texts me saying "I can't do this anymore we barely get to see eachother, its over" ussually girls will be crying there eyes out and try to work things out, right? Nope i just text back and say "Okay , bye" and go on with my day. Next day i go to school , my new school to be honest i like this one most, i made two bestfriends, Mackenzie and Alisa, well it's 2012 we promote to 7th grade and we spend all summer together , then BOOM we find out Alisa isn't going to the same middle school and that she has to go to the one by her house, we are sitting here trying to figure things out , but wse have nothing , so we just say we will be with eachother on the weekends , EVERY weekend.
School is 2 weeks away , first year of middle school, we're the new "sevie's" so we have to look good, so we go back to school shopping get some new jeans, shirts, shoes , i hear you have to change in front of all the girls so , guess grab some new underwear and bra's , socks , and im all done shoping well i have to look good so i got the clothes, now i need make-up and something new with my hair , so i get a hair cut and i cut my bangs short off to the side , and i have acne still so i get cover up and im all set.
School is tomorrow , first day so i pick out clothes and i decide how i want my hair , i decide just to leave it down , i wake up it's 6:30 in the morning and i have to get dress and brush my hair and teeth and do my make-up i decide to just do cover up, mascara, and eyeliner , no eye shadow today. I dont eat in the morning so i just put my headphones in and i listen to music, then i have to call mackenzie , and ask her if she is ready so we can go pick her up, me and mackenzie get to school we walk into the M.P. get our schedueles and leave and we run into our old friends, just me and mackenzie's luck we have no classes together not even lunch, hooray! So i have gym first, so i go to my gym teacher's class room and again just my luck i run into this cute eight grade and i have no clue where im going and he is a WEB leader so he helps me out , and walks me to class , he is so cute thats all i think , so im like in space and we get there and he gives me advice on how to get passed all the eight graders and don;t bump into anyone , good advice cause thats the last thing i want to do. So i am sitting in the class and there is only like 3 people here me, this girl named Christine , and this boy named Ben i don't talk but they know eachother , later on in class me and christine talked , and she is now like me and mackenzie's sister so we do everything together , we had 3 classes together , gym, AVID, and english , so 1st 3rd and 6th period i see her and then we go home , well lunch comes around and i can't find any of my old friends so i just hang out with these populars that i do know and then it's time for history , i hate history and to be honest my teacher seemed to hate me the second i walked into the room , thats okay , cause i didn't like her either or the class. so here comes the end of the year and all the populars try to be my friend kind of so im like creeped out i went from weird , silent girl to , everyone talking to me. Well here we go last day of school and i go to first period and then i get picked up early , so i didn't get to say goodbye to my friends but oh well i'll see them this year. just saying 7th grade had to of been the WORST , i almost got into 5 fights and got bullied half way throught the year. Hooray! so thats my experience of 5th through 7th grade!
