The divorce was finalized. Jackson Harves was no longer married to Wesley Holland. Jackson and his stuff are to be completely moved out by Saturday, March 15th. 2 days from today.

Wesley lay in his bed. Alone for the first time in 5 years, literally.
Groaning, he rolled to the other side of the bed and checked the time, 10:30 a.m.
After a good 10 minutes of pondering whether if he should get up and be social, he finally wriggled his body free of the warm, gray comforter that lay on top of him. He stretched and yawned as he trudged to the bathroom. Still yawning into the mirror, he took off his pajama bottoms and lay a towel next to the shower.
After his time alone in the shower, wes dryer his hair, put on clean clothes, and picked up his iPhone 6s.
Two new messages.
from Nadine:
goodmorning bud, wanna chill today? I have the day off. felt like I could cheer you up after this divorce stuff :)from Jackson:
will be coming by the house at 1 pm to collect remaining boxes and other items laying around.reply to Nadine:
hey Dina, sure. Jack is coming by at 1 to get remaining boxes, should we go for lunch?Wes only left a simple "okay" to Jack. He didn't care to see him, so he scheduled the lunch with Nadine. Also it had been ages since the two had had time to hang out.
For the remainder of the morning, Wes ate a breakfast of pancakes and bacon, brushed his teeth and watched old episodes of his favorite show, Orange is the New Black, a Netflix original. At 12:15, the doorbell rang. Ding Dong!
"Nadine!" Wes greeted his girl best friend, swinging his arms around her.
"sooo nice to see you. and thanks for saving me from this lonesome mess. Where would you like to go?" he asked as he slipped on all black Vans."Five Guys? I've had a craving for burgers recently." she suggested.
"sure, I'll drive."
The two friends hopped into Wes' luxury silver Mercedes- Benz, a 2015 edition. Driving through West Hollywood, Nadine enjoyed the scenery. she lived in a pleasant part of Los Angeles too, but she admired the exclusive parts surrounding Wes' estate.
"so other than being lonely, how's to having the house to yourself?" Nadine finally broke the silence.
"it's actually nice. a little weird being so clean all the time too, and quiet. It's so weird not hearing Jack complaining to me about his dirty boxers all over the bedroom floor. I guess I like it, it's just going to be difficult to get used to. How's life with Tom?"
"well guess more time for frequent sleepovers at your place! and we're good actually, he treated me to a 3 course meal, prepared all by himself! he's an excellent cook, honestly. you should come for dinner in the near future."
"oooh yes, that sounds very nice. definitely count me in next time."
After more catching up and small talk, we arrived at our destination.Grabbing our burgers, me and Nadine walked outside and sat at the only outdoor table. The weather was actually decent today, considering the past dreadful week of rain. But as soon as she could open her mouth, Nadine got to talking. she doesn't like long periods of silence.
"so, I have this friend visiting from Arizona, and she wants to meet you. she's like my best friend, real chill and all. you'd make good friends"
I thought about it for a minute. "yeah sure," I replied since I could use some more friends "how long's she visiting?"
"three months, she's arriving here on the 16th, so maybe we should meet up all together then?"
"deal" I said.
~~~~~~~~sorry for the short first chapter! I haven't written in ages, and writers' block is a bitch when starting a new story. I hope you enjoyed it though! Not sure how frequent updates will be, but don't worry I won't let this story rot. stay tuned for more!
