Garrett stood shocked as smoothie seeped into his shirt. He couldn't let his fight with Delia continue like this. He ran outside, after her and found her sitting alone at one of the tables. She as dabbing her eyes as if she was crying. It broke Garrett's heart to see her upset. Especially since he caused it.

"Hey Dels," Garrett greeted shyly.

Delia didn't day a word as she stood up to leave again.

"Wait," Garrett said. "Hear me out! Listen Delia, I'm so sorry I snapped on you. I should've never have done that. I've just been so upset with the whole Katie thing that I've been pushing away the people I care about the most. I hope you can forgive me."

"Of course I do," Delia smiled. "I'm sorry for snapping on you too. It's just the way you acted as if me having a date was so impossible hurt my feelings."

"I'm sorry," Garrett said. "I was just surprised you didn't tell the gang."

"That's because you and Lindy were bummed about your recent breakups. Besides, my last relationship became messy when everyone started interfering. Promise you won't tell anyone I'm dating someone." Delia pleaded.

"Ok I won't. Your secret is safe with me. And sorry about everything. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings," Garrett apologized.

"Its fine," Delia said. "I thought you thought I was too horrible a person to have a date." Delia whispered the last part.

Garrett shook his head. "I would never think that.. You're one of the best people I have ever met. So are we good?"

Delia smiled and nodded. "We're good. Hug it out?"

"Of course ." He hugged her and they made up. He wanted to stay like that forever but she slipped out when her date arrived.

"Tom!" She said hugging him.

"Tom?" Garret said turning around. Sure enough it was Tom Bigham, the boring new kid they met freshman year. He had gotten much taller and bigger ever since he tried out for basketball. Currently he was the MVP for the varsity team.

"Hey babe," Tom said, giving Delia a peck on the cheek. "Hey Garrett. What are you doing here?"

"Just talking to Delia on my break." Garett said.

"Well okay," Tom said, suspicious. "I'm gonna hit the can and be out in a sec." He walked inside Rumble Juice.

"Okay" Garett said laughing as Tom went inside. Once he entered, Garrett turned his attention back to Delia. "Tom Bigham? As in boring Tom Bigham?"

Delia blushed. "Well, yeah. He's changed a lot in the also few years and he's my Chem partner and we really hit it off. We have a lot in common and now we're on our third date."

"So when exactly were you gonna tell the gang that you're dating this guy?" Garrett asked.

"When it's official."

"You mean he hasn't asked you to be his girlfriend?"

"No."

"Hey guys!" Tom greeted walking out with a smoothie.

"I thought you had to pee," Delia said.

"I did," Tom replied. "But Betty makes you buy a smoothie when you use the restroom."

"Oh yeah," Garrett said. "It's called her 'Smoothie Paradox'. When you have to pee, she makes you buy a smoothie, therefore you have to pee again, and then you buy another smoothie. The more you have to pee, the more money she makes."

"That's evil!" Tom said.

"That's Betty." Garrett replied.

"That's enough chitchat," Delia said, grabbing Tom's hand. "Well we have a dinner reservation and I don't want to be late. I'll talk to you later Garrett."

"Bye!" Garrett waved. "Have fun!"

Tom turned around, giving Garrett a dirty look. "Oh we will!"

Garrett furrowed his eyebrows in confusion at Tom's change in behavior. But he just shrugged it off and went back to work.

"I'm so glad the first week of school is over!" Lindy proclaimed as she walked into her room and plopped on her bed.

"You can say that again," Jasmine said. "Saturday could have not come sooner."

"Preach!" Delia said, walking in with a plate of nachos. "So you guys wanna play foosball?"

"Dels, we just got here. How do you already have nachos?" Lindy asked.

Delia shrugged. "I don't know, I just do."

Lindy was about to ask another question but thought against it. It was Delia she was talking about. The less you knew the better.

"Ok. So is it just me or is Mr Elliot like smoking hot?" Jasmine said.

"Oh my gosh yes!" Delia said. "And his brother Andy, even hotter. What do you think Lindy?"

Lindy just shrugged. "I haven't really noticed."

Delia and Jasmine exchanged a look. "Oh really?" Delia said. "You haven't noticed the extremely attractive new guy who so happens to sit next to you in all our classes?"

"If he's so cute, why don't you go after him?"Lindy said.

"Cuz...I can't," Delia replied before she could stop herself.

Lindy and Jasmine looked at her suspiciously.

"What do you mean by that, Delia?" Lindy asked.

"Nothing. " Delia shoved a nacho in her mouth to avoid further questioning.

"Dels, are you dating someone?" Jasmine pressed.

Delia spit out the chip. "What? Me? No!" She looked at her wrist. "Oh well look at the time. I have to go home to do... that thing for my ... mom. Yeah that."

Delia ran out of the room leaving a shocked Lindy and Jasmine.

"She's hiding something," Lindy said. "Because her mom is on a work trip and she had no watch on her wrist."

"The question is," Jasmine said. "What is she hiding?"
