Its's been about three days since i've been captured and ya, it sucked. I was fed tough meat once a day and no one even talked or looked at me, just threw the plate in the cage and walked away. Right now I was sitting criss cross in the cage, back leaning against the cage. I started singing a tune I heard once while out on an adventure. I began singing, hitting all the notes. I remember always singing this song on the ship and sometimes my dad would yell at me to "stop that blasted singing already, I get it you like the song, now hurry up and clean the deck!" yup, just a regular day on the ship.
As I was singing I noticed a high pitched noise matching the notes I sung. I immediately stopped singing and sat up. I let my eyes adjust to the darkness and in the moon light I saw Pan, and he was playing his, well pan. I glared at him as he smirked and lowered his flute.
"You've got a nice voice," he said with a smirk
"Um, thanks, I have to say its nice to finally talk to a person, even if it is you," I said leaning sideways, laying my head against the bars.
"Well, good evening to you too," he said walking toward my cage. "And to think, I was going to let you out today, but now i'm not so sure, you really hurt my feelings," he said while fake pouting
I quickly sat up and grabbed the bars, "You were what?"
He smirked," I said I was going to let you out today, but I don't know, maybe if I got an apology?"
I rolled my eyes as I crossed my arms.
"Stubborn one I see? Ok, guess i'll just head back to camp," he said while walking away.
"WAIT!, i'm sorry," said, but the second part was barely below a whisper.
"I'm sorry, what was that?"
"I'm sorry," but this time it was a whisper
"Sorry, you have to speak up, love"
"I SAID IM SORRY OK!!!, And stop calling me love," I yelled
He chuckled, "Ok, but you don't mind if I call you a lost girl, do you?" he said while walking up to make cage and unlocking it.
"Actually I do mind, because 1, i'm not lost and 2, I do have a name."
He just chuckled, when he opened the cage that's when I noticed, he wasn't walking, he was flying. That's when I mentally face palmed, obviously he was flying, my cage is in the air.
He held out his hand, I eyed him skeptically but slowly took his hand, and
I have to admit, they were pretty soft.
He held one hand tightly while the other snaked around my waist. He slowly brought us down to the floor. Once our feet touched the he let go of my waist and I pulled my hand away, "Ok, this way, (Y/n)," he said smirking.
I wasn't even going to ask how he knows my name, I mean, magical being who rules a magical land, its pretty obvious, anyways I have no idea where we were going but I just followed him. As we continued walking I started to hear light chanting and a glowing followed by long dancing shadows. Naturally most people might be a little frightened at this point, but me being me I seeked adventure so of course I kept following him. As we got closer the chanting got louder and the fire bigger. When we finally made it to our destination I realized it was a camp. Dancing around the fire were boys, some looked like they were barely 10 while other looked like they were 18. That's when I saw a cloaked figure leaning against a tree covering his face, the same one who was at my cage a while ago.
"These," Pan said gesturing to the boys, "are The Lost Boys, my brothers," he smiled while walking up to a large boulder, he stood up on it and as soon as he did the boys stopped dancing and all attention was on him.
"Listen up boys, we have a special guests, with us, Miss (Y/n)," he looked over to me as the other boys did. I heard various whispers, such as 'Is she our mother?' from the younger boys and 'Dibs' from some of the older ones. This made me roll my eyes and cross my arms. Pan glared at the older ones before once again grabbing their attention, "Because she is a lady you will treat her with respect," his eyes scanned the crowd as most of the boys nodded, "now, as we do with all our guests, how about a good old sparring match," at this all the boys started cheering as they started to form a large circle around me, Pan sat on the boulder as he watched closely with a smirk in his face, then the cloaked figure entered the circle with his spear in one hand and sword in the other, he threw my sword and I caught it swiftly by the handle. The boys started softly chanting something as the figure removed his cloak to reveal a boy about the same age as Pan, maybe a little older, he also had messy dirty blond hair and scar on his eye. He scanned me before getting into his fighting stance, I also got into mine, we started circling each other, my dads voice echoing in my head, 'take deep breaths, the key to a good fight is for you to stay calm and focused' 'watch your feet, the last thing you need to to trip and fall' 'watch your opponents every move, if you look closely enough you might be able to predict their next move and have the upper hand' I remembered all of this as I observed the boy in front of me, I looked down at his feet and noticed that he was adding pressure onto his left foot which means he's gonna attack soon and he did. He launched himself at me but I just stepped to the side and kicked his back which made him face plant into the dirt. I let out a little giggle as the boys erupted in cheers. The boy got up and looked at me and let me just say, if looks could kill, I would be dead. He slowly got up and went back into his stance and I did. I decided to go first this time. I added pressure on my right foot and he noticed to he moved to the left but I quickly changed feet and lunged at him. I was able to tackle him, I straddled him and held my sword to his neck. I was gonna count it as a victory until he gave a good punch to the face which sent me off of him, he quickly got up and grabbed me from behind, holding the tip of his spear to my neck.
"Looks like I win this one girly," he said, his hot breath on my neck. The boys erupted in cheers again. That's when I remember a certain place my dad told me to attack if all else fails, somewhere he calls "where the sun don't shine" I brought my foot out and quickly brough it up behind me. I heard the boy yell in pain as he let go of me and fell to his knees. 'ooooh' s were heard from the crowd. I grabbed my sword and swung it, creating a cut on his neck, then again on his cheek before pushing him onto his back with my foot and striking the classic pirate pose of having one foot on top of my opponent. The crowd erupted in cheers. I smiled and bowed as Pan walked up to me. "I have to admit, that was pretty good, for a girl at least, as a reward you have gained your freedom, from the cage that is," he said to meI looked at him confused before he grabbed my hand, then, I felt a little, dizzy.
