I have been toying around with this for a while. My friend Maddy (or HeartlessPebbles ) is in this, and she's a very crazy person whereas I'm the opposite, so excuse me if she's not very crazy as she should be.
DISCLAIMER: There's slight mentions of Homestuck in it, which I do not own, nor do I know a lot about.

Although it is a nice sunny day outside, school has us stuck inside like a bird in a cage. The usual gloom that hangs above our heads in the classroom is replaced with an evergrowing excitment as it is a Friday, and the weekend is growing closer and closer as the seconds tick by on the clock. I sigh, not sharing the excitment with my classmates at all. My life is boring, I have no friends, and the only one I do have is a nutjob with shit for brains. School is the only way I'm not bored, and the teachers do a fine job at keeping me busy.
Suddenly, the dreaded bell rings. I want to ignore the bell and just sit here, even if the plastic chair has started to make my butt pound, but I know all to well what happens when I'm not at my locker 5 minutes after the bell rings. I'll recieve a Homestuck rant from Maddy, and even though I've ignored the ones she has given me before, her loud voice never fails to give me headaches.
I put my hands on my desk and force myself up onto my feet. I pick my things up and shove them in my bag, not caring too much if I crumple my homework. Slinging the bag over my shoulder, I make my way over to the door, being careful not to get hit by the guys shoving each other around. I can see the mean girls looking back at me and I watch as they giggle, and the only thing I do before ignoring them is roll my eyes.
Immediately after stepping out into the hallway, Maddy, my shit for brains friend I mentioned earlier tackles me. I find my balance quickly, and push her off of me. A look of disappointment appears on her face as she checks her watch, as I have arrived early. She probably would've gotten to do her rant if she had waited at my locker like she usually does. Every Friday and Tuesday she's at the door waiting, and I don't really mind, saves me a headache.
"Ah! Shit! Seriously? How come every Tuesday and Friday you always get here early?" Maddy says, stomping her foot in frustration. Are you seriously that stupid? I thought, deciding it is best that I keep it to myself. I do not need her freaking out over that. I want to save myself from as many headaches as I can.
"Because I'm a ninja." I replied sarcastically, hoping she will notice the sarcasm.
"Really?" I have the sudden urge to facepalm as I give her the 'I was joking, dumbass' look. She gasps, her hands moving to the sides of her face like the kid in Home Alone as she says "You actually gave me an expression! I'm so proud of you!" Then, she commences to wipe an invisible tear from her grey eye.
"Oh shut up and let's go. The sound level here is going to give me a headache." I say, grabbing her arm and hauling her towards my locker. As if you don't already give me them, I add in my head, my eyes rolling again. We reah my locker and I quickly open it up, shoving my history book in there which I surprisenly don't need for homework. I'm about to close it again, when I notice a rose in my locker. I stare at it for a few moments, eyebrows furrowed, as I try to understand why the hell would a rose be in my locker of all the ones here. I reach in and carefully pull it out, giving it a close examination, only to find a folded piece of paper tucked in between two petals. Confusion rising, I grabbed the piece of paper, and slowly, carefully, pulled it out.
"What. The. Hell." Is the only thing Maddy could say. I look over at her, before returning my gaze to the rose.
"Maddy, you're hair is messed up." I lied, referring to her dyed eletric blue hair which she has styled into the emo hair. She shrieks, running off to her locker where her mirror is. I quickly put the rose into my bag, and unfolded the letter to see what is written on it.
Thirty Days.
This confuses me. Thirty Days? Until what? There's nothing going on at the school, nothing going on at home. Is this letter meant for someone else? No, the lockers have our names on them. Is this some kind of lame joke?
"GWEN!" Maddy yelling makes me jump. Luckily I didn't drop the note, and I am successful in folding it back up and putting it into my bag quickly. "You lied to me!" She starts going on and on about how lying isn't nice, and I chose to ignore her as I grab her arm for the second time this afternoon and I pull her towards the doors into/out of the school.
*small timeskip*
I sit on my bed, plundering my head for any possible explaination as to why I recieved the rose and the note.
Then, it hits me. Like a drumstick hitting a drum.
Roses are red. Blood is red.
Thirty days until I'm dead.
