Prologue: A Precious Thing That Ends

"Josh! Josh! Look at the sky!"

She called my name as I'm moving a wheelchair carrying her.

I was thinking so deep that I didn't realized she's calling my name, until she reached for my face.

Although she only intended on calling me but she somehow put some force on it.

"Urgh..."

It kinda hurts.

"S-sorry Joshua. You're not noticing me."

It isn't strong, but it is painful enough to make my cheek red.

"It's okay. Don't mind about it. So, what is it?"

I asked her as I put my hand on where her hand landed on. I would need ice to cool the pain down.

"Josh is blushing!" She said in a cheering voice. Hearing that, I wonder if she's fooling me.

"You slap me! That's why it's red!"

I unconsciously raised my voice. That made her startled.

"Josh is angry. Hmmm. Huwaaaa..."

"Hey, hey. I am not angry. I'm just surprised." I felt she'll cry anytime soon so I comforted her. After a few talks, we laughed at each other.

After moments of walking, she asked me the same thing earlier.

"Josh, could you look at the sky?"

Following her order, I look at the sky. As soon as she noticed this,

"What will you do if I lived normally?"

She asked me that question.

"Meow..."

Lost of words, I stopped walking and continued on looking at the sky.

Then, I stared at her. She was taking care of the cat that made us met each other on her lap. Noticing my stare, she stared back at me while waiting for my answer, smiling.

Deep inside, I cried. Seeing my loved one in despair, thinking such foolish things like she doesn't lived a normal life. I suddenly lowered myself to hug her from behind while she's sitting on the wheelchair.

"Isn't it obvious? I will marry you."

Even though not seeing her face. I could tell she was crying and released every tear drops she have as the wind passed by.
