Karma ate the small bowl of oatmeal and drank the glass of orange juice that her "mother" Jane had made her.
" When your finished rince out your bowl and put it in the sink."Jane told her.
" Yeah, whatever you say mother." Karma replied in her normal smart ass tone.
She felt a flick in the back of her head followed by, " You better watch your mouth if you want to get somewhere in life, girl."
" And you better stop flicking me in the back of my f**king head!" Karma yelled and then went up to her room, locking the door behind her. She played some Escape the Fate and started on her homework. She didnt feel like another detention this week.
"Karma, unlock this damn door!" Lacy yelled.
"What do you want?" Karma Yelled back.
"Mom says you have to do the dishes this morning." lacy told her while opening up the door.
"Do them yor damn self." Karma snapped. " Its your turn anyway."
Lacy grunted, slammed the door, and ran down the stairs soon to be followed by the door being opened and her "mother" slapping her in the face and yelling at her. "dont you dare dis-obay me or Lacy ever again you ungreatful bitch! All the things i've done for you and this is how you treat me? I cant believe you! No wonder why your father beat you! Im surprised he didnt kill you!"
By the time Jane stopped beating Karma she was un concius with a mild black eye, a broken nose, a bruised cheek, and a severely busted lip.
Kadence came in the house, not bothering to say anything. He had a busy day at school and work and didnt feel like messing with his mother or Lacy. As he walked up the stairs he noticed Karma badly beaten unconcius.He went in to check on her makeing sure shes ok. Oveously she wasn't. He went into the batheroom to wet a rag so he could wipe off some of the blood on her face, waking her up in the prossess. " Kadence" she tried to say in a tear drowned voice. "Its ok Karma, shh, go back to sleep. in here you'll be ok. I promise."He wispered. "Stay here Kadence, don't leave" she wispered and then slowly fell asleep. As soon as she was asleep he sat all her makeup out and her clothes so she didnt have to mess with it ans then covered her up with a blanket and walked out of her room closeing the door behind him. He walked into his room heading to his en swite so he could take a shower. Today had been an over welling day and he hoped tomorrow would be better.
After the shower he dropped in on Karma, she was sleeping like a baby. He went and closed the door then turned off the light, then going to his bed for a well needed sleep.
