"Freak"

"Nerd"

"Look at her dirty clothes"

"I bet she plays Pokemon by herself"

Nancy grimly walked into the very bane of her existence that contributed to her daily torture, High school.

"She's always alone, I bet she's planning a school shooting-Shhh She's walking by."

Nancy continued to walk to homeroom. She was used to the comments now. She always told herself "There's no reason to get upset, you don't even like them."

No matter how much she reassured herself, thoughts like that only fuled their criticism.

"Hey Nance, wait up!" I turn around and see my best and only friend, Hubert running towards me.

I dimly smile as he finally caught me and waited to catch his breath. Hubert wasn't what you would call..., average. He was short and stubby, with chronic acne and circular glasses.

Basically, we were two geeks. He held his arms tightly around me to hug, and I hugged him back.

"Oh look, they deserve one another. Two nerds in a pod! " The whole hallway exploded with laughter. Hubert clenched his fist in anger, his whole face was turning around.

"Watch out nerd!" A figure from behind us shoved Hubert on the floor. Everyone turned around to see that it was the school's most notorious bully, Jake.

Jake is what you would call, a giant brute. Six feet tall, he used his intimidating appearance to scare anyone to do whatever he wanted. No matter what happened, he wouldn't get in trouble because no one would confess to his actions. So, he could do anything he wanted.

Jake laughed when Hubert spilled on the floor, with no one helping to pick him up. Soon all of Jake's cronies followed him, basically laughing along.

I walked over to Hubert and helped him up, but he still glared angrily at the whole crowd of bystanders doing nothing.

Jake noticed the menacing look in Hubert's eyes and yelled, "what's the problem fatty? You need a tissue to wipe off your tears?" Jake's cronies roared with laughter as they all pointed at Hubert.

Hubert looked at me and ran away, out the hallway, out the building, and didn't even look back. It would have been a great dramatic exit, if someone hadn't tripped him and sent him flying mid run. I angrily looked at everyone and stormed off to the principal's office, ready to finally end all of this.
