Chapter 1:

Chapter 1:

I'm turning sixteen today!! I thought as I was getting ready for school and hurrying so i wouldn't miss the bus. I ran down stairs and almost knocked down my mother in the process. "Sorry mom!" I yell as I rush out the front door. I make it just in time to see me bus coming down the road. 

As I get on i try and find my best friend Erma, but she isn't on the bus. i sat down in an empty seat hoping to avoid contact with my ex-boyfriend. it didn't work.

"HeyRanea" he said with a smirk that wasn't to friendly

"What do you want?"

"I want you. That's what i want." he moved closer now closing the space between us.

"Well you know that isn't happening. Not in a million years."

"Not even a small kiss? Come on I know you want it!" he tried making a move but i pushed him back. I must have pushed him harder then I thought because when i opened my eyes he was in the bus isle on the floor.

"Now you diffidently know you are getting none of this back!" i felt accomplished seeing as I stood up for my self without Erma there to help.

I got to school and saw Katrina walking down the sidewalk blinged out in her owl attire. Head to toe owl. She was owl CRAZY!! I started walking to her hoping that she might see me coming.

"Hey Lily!" She yelled in excitement.

"Hey Katrina!" I yelled back.

"Happy Birthday!" Finally someone had remembered that it was my birthday today!

"Thank you! So how are you this fine Monday morning? Wheres whats his face?" i asked knowing she would get mad at me calling her boyfriend Ben 'whats his face'. 

"I'm fine thanks for asking. And BEN isn't here yet, his bus was late." making  sure she emphasized his name.

"I'm glad your fine." was all i said in return.

The bell for first period rang reminding me where I was. I walked in showing the guard at the door my ID and moving on to my locker. I really wasn't looking forward to today, in four out of my seven classes I had tests. What a way to spend a birthday. I got to my first hour and sat down. Hoping that no one would notice me as I pulled out my book and tried sneaking a few pages in before the bell rang.

First hour went slower then i imagined and was agonizingly boring. Second hour would be just the same. I walked in and sat in the back like I always do and pulled out my book again. This time i got nothing read as the final bell rang. We all sat quietly waiting for out mean old lady of a teacher to start talking about angles or factors. But we were interrupted by a phone call. As she picks it up she looks around the room and finds me. Uh oh what did i do this time? 

"Ranea you are needed in the front office your mother is signing you out." she says in an annoyed tone, like it was my fault that my mother so kindly decided to sign me out.

I walked down the hallway and into the main office to fin my mother beaming from ear to ear like she has something exciting to tell me.

"Spit it out mom!"

"Guess what I got you for your birthday?!" she almost yelled it into me ear as we were getting into the car.

"What?" 

"What have you been wanting for MONTHS?" I rack my brain for what she was thinking. Then it hit me...

"Did you get me One Direction tickets?!" I almost yell as I'm trying to keep a hold of myself. She nods her head.

"And something else." What else could there be? 

"What?" i ask as I'm barely on my seat just being excited for my tickets.

"Back stage passes!" OH MY GOSH! My mother is the best mother in the world!

"When is the show?" i ask now yelling in excitement

"Tomorrow. In California." And in Cali! This birthday could just be the best ever.

"When does our flight leave?"

"In about two hours. Which gives you enough time to go home and pack."

As we are pulling out of our drive way and on the road, I can't help but imagine what is going to happen. Will they even notice me? Will I just be another crazy fan who they may see but not notice? I relay all these questions in my head until we reach the airport. When we get there it is a mad house. We slowly but carefully make our way to our gate and make it onto our flight.

I must have fallen asleep because when I opened my eyes we were landing. We had made it to California! Now all we needed to do was get to our hotel. For now at least...
