Angela never caught up with Alfred but she did make it to his house before he finished packing.
"Are you done?" Angela's voice echoed throughout the quiet house. But there was no answer. She wandered around the house, nearing Alfred's room she heard crying and whimpers. She pushed the door open a little at first put all she could see was a knife and quickly swung the door open.
"Alfred what are you doing?!" Alfred sat on his bed in a pair of shorts. With bloody lettering carved into his leg. 'Hero' was spelled out on his leg. Alfred looked at Angela, her eyes were filled with worry. She rushed over taking the knife from him. She set it down out of his reach and grabbed the first aid kit from his bedside table. She quickly cleaned it put some antibiotics on it and wrapped it up. He was to embarrassed to speak to her, he just continued to cry. She hugged him allowing him to cry into her shirt. They stayed like that until Alfred's cries turned into little hics and sniffles. Angela let go and looked at him using her sleeve to wipe his eyes.
"You need a vocational, si?"
Alfred looked at her his blue eyes searched her face looking for any sign of it being a joke.
"Sure..."
He answered a small hic and sniffle followed. He pointed at his bag.
"I packed.'
She kissed his head and picked it up. Alfred stood and studied his shorts, they had blood spots in some spots. He grabbed a pair of jeans from a drawer and disappeared. While he left to put on clean pants Angela sent down to wait by the door. Alfred came down shortly after with a bag slung over his shoulder.
"May I drive?"
"Course."
Alfred tossed her the keys to his car. She caught them and left the house putting his suit case in the back and got into the drivers seat. She gave Alfred a churroh or 3 to munch on for the drive. The drive was pretty much silent other then the occasional crinkle of the wrapper from Alfred. Angela hummed quietly to herself but stopped once she put the car into park.
It was dark by now, Angela didn't realize how long the drive was going to be. She looked over at the already sleeping Alfred in the passenger seat and gentle shook his shoulder.
"We have a airplane to catch sleepy head."
Alfred stretched and yawned, he went to lift up his glasses to rub hi eyes and realized he didn't have them.
"Oh no.." he muttered.
Angela held up a black glasses case.
"I grabbed them."
"Gee thanks Angela."
Alfred smiled taking the case after rubbing his eyes and put his glasses on. She exited the car carefully shutting the dllr behind her and shoving the let's into her pockets. Alfred exited as well after fixing his hair slinging his bag over his shoulder and grabbing his suit case.
