The portal (chp.3)

Aphmau's POV
Laurence and I walked away from the stables with my hand in his. It had been a week since we got Sliver and Gold. It had been fun training them and riding them. Sliver is a great jumper and Gold is a really fast runner.

"So what do you want to do tonight" Laurence asked running a hand through his hair.

" I don't know " I said " what do you want to do"

Laurence thought for awhile and said "a night alone..., in the forest."

"Oh... What abo-" I was cut off by Lucinda yelling my name.

"APHMAU, APHMAU " she yelled running up to us "I have bad news "

"And that would be..." I said trailing off looking at Lucinda. Laurence griped my hand a little tighter.

Lucinda's POV
"And that would be...."Aphmau said . Fear ripped through her eyes. She wasn't going to like this.

" there is .... A stranger in front of the portal....." I said hesitating. She stumbled a little regaining her balance sprinted in the direction of the portal.

" oh no..." Laurence mumbled. He gave me a look that said 'come on ' and took off after her.
Aphmau's POV
Lucinda said someone was at he portal. If they think they are going to brake it they are going to have get through me first. I ran as fast as I could to the portal and jumped into the nearest tree. Standing in front of the portal was a woman cloaked in black . She had purple hair and green eyes. She pulled out a pickaxe and was about to hit the portal. I jumped from the tree and struck her down my wings showed and I held my sword to her throat.
"Please don't hurt me " she pleaded.
" who are you and what do you think you are doing trying to break the portal " I shouted at her .
" I'm Umbra and do you know where that portal leads" she said avoiding eye contact.
" I do and if you broke that portal my very close friend that is trapped on the other side will never return even if we had all the ingredients. " I yelled back.
" oh... Wait you have wings " she said shocked " are y-you her "
"Lady Aphmau. Yes , yes I am"
