''Come on Percy,'' my mom called out from the kitchen. ''First day of school! Grade 10. Oh, my baby is growing up so fast...''

I face palmed myself and got out of bed, getting ready for first day of school. After finally finishing eating and packing up, I was at the door ready to leave.

But before I could even open the door, my mom came running at me hugging me tightly. Thats Sally Jackson for you. The sweetest women on Earth.

I huggd her back, and was able to finally escape her tight grasp. I walked out, and let the nice weather wash over me. Make me neither freezing, or hot.

A women with a very strict face, and glasses put down to her nose looked at me as if I was supposed to preform a trick.

"So, Annabelle-"

"Annabeth," I corrected.

She ignored it. "You want to study here at Pittsburg High. And I see you've won...quite some collective awards in....math." she nodded as if she approved. She stamped the papers, and she tried her best for a smile.

"Welcome to Pittsburg High." she looked at me as if trying to tell me to leave already so she could stop smiling. I thanked her and started to walk out, not paying attention, but memorizing my time schedule, until I suddenly bumped into someone. I dropped all my books and paper, and to the ground. I looked up to a very apologetic boy, with sea green eyes, black hair, and was purple shirt with waves on them, and blue shorts.

My face turned red. "Oh. Um-"

-"Sorry, my fault." he said. "And you must be...Annabeth Chase."

"Wait...how do you know that?!"

He pointed to the ground and I looked down, noticing how all the sheets had my name on it, all big and bold.

I laughed, and he did the same. "Well I've got to go figure out my classes." I picked up my books that fell, with his help. And I walked away, paying to much attention to the paper infront of me, once again.
