My Rookie [one-shot]

From where we couldn't finish what we've started

The day that I'll be leaving has come.

It's just 3 in the morning but it feels like I don't want to sleep. So I get up and to my surprise Yoon-jung get up too.

"Did I wake you up?" I asked.
"No. I can't sleep." he answered.

"Me too. And Minnie.." I was about to say that I want to go out when he grabbed my hand and said, "I want to show you something."

"Wow! This is wonderful!" I exclaimed

"Just like you, My love." he said.

"Bolero." I answered back.

"Bo- what is it again? Are you cussing? Using filipino word?"he asked.

"No. It's bolero. We are saying it when someone saying flattering words to us. Like those words just flowery." I explained.

"No baby, It's all true." He defenses. And we sit on the grass as we are mesmerized by the view Han river.

"It's more beautiful in the night, right?" he asked while putting his hands on my shoulder.

"Get it off. Someone might see us, see you." I warned him.

"It's alright. Oh look it's Kang Ha-nuel." he changed topic.

I look to the place he's pointing and I saw Kang Ha-nuel standing in a lamp post.

"See? Even big stars visit this place, so why care to people around? Besides, I grant your 2nd and last wish."he said.

"Yeah. You know Yoon-jung, I didn't expect that we're going to be like this. How did we get here? It's like yesterday we're enemies." I exclaimed.

"Yeah. Me too. Time flies so fast. You're leaving.. This morning. How I wish I could freeze the time." he looked at me and continue his sentence, "I'll be missing you, Mickey. I love you."

I hug and answer him, "I going to miss you too. I love you, Minnie."

The time has come.

He let go of my hand and give me my things. I bid goodbye to my other friends and looked at him for one last time. He hugs me tighter and let go. I was about to say something when he turn around and walk away.

I felt like someone stab my heart. Seeing him walking away... from me is like saying that we can't be together.

"Hey dude! What's wrong?!" Dae-han shouted.

"Did you two fight?"Yun-ji asked.

Everybody is clueless. Dae-han was about to run after Yoon-jung when I stop him.

"Dae-han, it's okay. No we didn't fight. I understand him. Seeing someone you love leaving is heartbreaking, please take care of him. We will miss you guys. See you soon." I said before turning around I look at the way he went. Hoping he would come back.

"Let's go girl." Jessica said.

But he didn't.

It's nearly Christmas and my birthday is upcoming. Yun-ji said that they're going to go here in the Philippines to celebrate it with me. So I suggested to go in El Nido in Palawan. I'm a bit sad that I won't be able to celebrate it with my Filipino friends but they said it was okay. So now I'm happy and quite excited.

I was playing in my iPad when Jessica started screaming. In my shock, I dropped my iPad.

"What's your problem?!" I asked while getting my iPad.
