Idea for a novel.
Emma Jones is a part time police officer working for a secret government organization in the year of 2013. The organization was created to investigate the possibility of time travel. She is very smart and perceptive. Emma is 21 years old and has been waiting for a sign that time travel is possible her whole life. Her father disappeared on December 12th, 1996 when she was just 4 years old. She thought he had abandoned her. Emma didn't really have that great of a childhood. About 2 or 3 years after her father disappeared, her mother was standing underneath a tree when a bolt of lightning struck her down. She was rushed to the hospital but there was nothing anyone could do. Ever since that night Emma and her little brother hated hospitals and developed a kind of fear of them. Luckily, Emma and Evan Jones (her brother) didn't get hurt. It was like they were indestructible or something. They never really thought much about it, they just thought that they were just really lucky. But the truth will be so crazy and unbelievable that it will blow their minds. Their parents worked for a secret government organization, not the same one that Emma now works for, and they did these weird experiments. They didn't want to get their children involved, but they were forced to. The experiments gave Emma and Evan super strength and an almost indestructibility. It also altered their DNA. Their blood type is different than normal people.
