:::::Maryland Hospital:::::
"Wake up Jakey please for me." Martha cries out,(Jacob's Mother).It's been a week since Jacob passed out, right when he got his new place. Martha looks at the Heart rate monitor, still beating fast. Doctor Yama walks into the room "Miss Howley, his results are back, your son Jacob is in a coma. This explains the increased heart rate, have you heard all the stories about people in comas having dreams where they confront their self conscious?" Martha looks up from her son, "Yeah I have what's that got to do with my son?" "My theory is his self conscious is extremely confronting, tell me did Jacob have a hard life?" Martha stands up and starts crying fearing her son might die in this coma. "Well his father died in Afghanistan 2 years ago, but he handled it like anyone would expect." Doctor Yama goes quiet, "Martha I have two questions for you, where did you say your son's house was?" Martha squints at the doctor like he was a lunatic for asking, "Is this necessary, it's 17 Eden Street." Doctor Yama opens his eyes wide, turns around and closes the door. "Okay Martha here is a biggie, you might find this stupid but in my culture this is a belief and what happened a few weeks ago cements my theory. Are you or your son superstitious because I think a demon attacked your son." Martha stands in the hospital room dumbfounded but then starts laughing, "That is the most stupidest thing I've heard in yea....." Martha tries to say but is interrupted by Doctor Yama, "I thought you might have said that and that is why I have these," he says pulling a file out from the room's locked drawer. "This is the hospital's file for Peter Townsend, the man who used to live in 17 Eden Street, as you can see he was in a coma and had increased heart rate. But this is where it gets paranormal." He pulls another file, "I recognised the story from my culture about a woman who builds a shelter and falls asleep for 2 weeks breathing hard and sweating. After the 2 weeks the woman died." Doctor Yama goes silent. "So I did my duty as a doctor to help Peter but in an untraditional way, a buddy of mine is a neurologist and a big believer of the supernatural, anyway he built a machine which would let us see what a comatose patient sees, he never announced it due to the fact that the government could place terrorists into an induced coma and steal Intel. My buddy wouldn't allow that because putting someone into an induced coma is dangerous. Back to my main point we used the machine on Peter and what we saw cemented my theory."
(Didn't see that twist coming did you?)
