This morning was like any other morning Scott left to go buy Starbucks for him,Mitch,and Caden while Mitch was asleep.Mitch and Scott have a nine year old son named,Caden, this morning he was into watching Spongebob,so he didn't want to go,but usually he did.
That's when Mitch came into the room his hair messy,since he just woke up he was in sweatpants and was shirtless.Caden was sitting on the couch watching Spongebob here and there,but his attention was to Wyatt.
"Hey buddy." he put his hand on Caden's knee
"Hi dad." he said while petting Wyatt
"Where's your father at?"
"You know..the place where white girls enjoy."
Mitch laughed
"God,who told you that?"
"None of your business." Caden sassed
Mitch pouted and put Wyatt on the ground and he slightly jumped on Caden,while tickling him.Caden was screaming and kicking him 'God,this is torture' Caden thought as Mitch went to his stomach at that very moment Scott walked in with his and Mitch's drink and Caden's chocolate milk.
Scott placed the drinks on the kitchen counter and then continuing to the living room seeing Mitch tickling Caden on the loveseat.
"Babe,what are you doing?"
"Our son said Starbucks are for 'white girls'." he said quoting him
"Caden Grassi Hoying..that means you're calling us girls." he gasped
"Daddy..no I..I..love you?" he said nervously
Mitch got up a kissed his boyfriend then Mitch's and Scott's glance turned to Caden.His brown hair all rugged his eyes filled with terror his clothes wrinkled he quickly ran off.
"Get back here!" Scott yelled playfully
Caden dashed towards his room and locked himself in the bathroom all he brought with him was blankets,pillow,his phone charger and a sketch book.Caden's light was turned off only the window in his bedroom was peeking through the door Caden turned on a flashlight seeing the white page dull.
His eyes flickered since the light hurt his eyes he grabbed his pencils looking at the page once more he drew lines connecting the dots,while Caden was drawing his dads were still 'looking for him'.Instead,Mitch was making Caden's favorite pancakes Scott was helping..no i'm kidding he was just watching Mitch flip and whisk.
"Can't you help me?" Mitch said pouting
"No.." Scott said putting his arms around Mitch
Mitch raised a eyebrow at him and unwrapped his arms around from his waist.Mitch walked away from Scott's grip as he pouted to his boyfriend.
"I won't let you steal a kiss,hug,or anything couple like if you don't help me,Hoying." Mitch sassed
"Fine,Grassi."
"Now,I see where Caden got his sass from." Scott said tickling Mitch's side
Today,was going to be filled with friends coming over like Kirstie,Avi,Kevin,Tyler,and Troye and their daughter Summer it was going to be a fun filled day for the family,but Caden was used to it,since he's usually with his dads on tour with Pentatonix.
Meanwhile,Caden was lighting up his bathroom with colours of imagination his fingertips dancing along with the coloured pencil,that's was when Mitch walked in with a smile plastered on his face.
"Hey,buddy it's time for breakfast!"
"Aw..two more minutes!" Caden begged
"Two more minutes?Your dad will kill me!" he yelled playfully
"Fine."
Mitch walked beside him as they walked down the hallway Scott was plating the pancakes,while watching SpongeBob Caden quickly ran to Wyatt petting him and then feeding him.Mitch and Scott watched time pass fast,so they made Caden come to the table.
"Okay,today is a busy day!" Mitch says
"Honey,Tyler is coming with his daughter.You remember Summer,right?"
Summer Sivan Oakley was her name Caden was familiar with the figure her brown fishtail braided hair her eyes bright and are lively.Her style was so out of the ordinary,but he enjoyed her company when she was upset Caden would sit beside her for hours and she'll to the same to him.
"Yeah,I remember her." Caden said
"Well,you know your uncles and your aunt are coming,also."
"Yep,now daddy and dad if you don't mind I'm going to head to my room."
Caden sat in his room with Wyatt on his lap Summer was someone who he could trust and that she trusted him.Summer was broken mentally from her parents living different places not getting to see Tyler smile for real and for Troye some songs are too much for him to sing,because it reminds him of either Tyler or Summer.
Summer told Caden her secrets and her thoughts she cried on his shoulders.Caden would protect her if someone would dare to hurt her physically or mentally he wasn't afriad to get his bum whipped,because he cared for her more than she did herself.
Caden remembered a day that Summer was over and she was sobbing,because she got bullied again nobody helped her.Caden didn't because he's been on tour with his father's acapella group she's now telling him,because she was afraid to put stress on him.
Summer and Caden were wrapped in blankets both sitting on the floor Caden was humming a tone that claimed Summer 'Safe and Sound'

Caden remembered Summer was in his arms head hidden in his chest he could feel her heart beat bump..bump..bump he could feel it now.Summer made him happy that's when the doorbell filled his room he quickly dashed out the door.
Opening to see Summer,Troye,Tyler he hugged Summer.She was wearing a cotton sweater with leaves and she's wearing jeans and galaxy vans her hair curled on her shoulder her eyes teal with a hint of gray.
"Hi,guys come on in!" Caden said cheerfully
On the loveseat Troye sat with Tyler and the Pentatonix group sat on the other loveseat.Caden took a hold of Summer's hand a lead her to his room he closed the drapes and sat beside her Summer spoke softly;
"So,you saw my dad?"
"Yeah,is he here for your birthday?"
"Yes,and then tomorrow he'll leave,again.." her voice trailed off
"Summer?You're so strong I know you'll make it and I'll be beside you all through these days."
"Caden..you worry about me to much." Summer said
"I care,Summer.That's why."
He grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around them and he sang 'Safe and Sound'
"Caden?"
"Yes?"
"You love me real or not real?"
"Real." he said giving Summer goosebumps
