My chapter titles suck xD I’m not really good at titles, so don’t judge me :3

I quickly glanced around. All sorts of animals surrounded me. There were mutant leopards, tigers, zebras, bunnies and jaguars. I could have sworn there was a goat laying around somewhere. And they were all different colours of the rainbow.
Maybe this thing was set as a trap on purpose. A road made out of sticky rice? It smelled so good, you could smell it fifty miles away. Bound to attract hungry monsters. Too bad I couldn’t smell it in the forest though. No, wait. Scratch that. If I smelt it in the forest, I would have been hungry for sure. I sighed. I had absolutely no food left in my inventory. I forgot to stock up before I got mad at Caden and stormed off. That was the last town I had ever been to.
Okay, back to the trap part. I’m starting to think that trusting weird NPC ghost girls in the middle of haunted forests isn’t the best idea.
I tossed my hair over my shoulder, and prepared to fight. That’s gonna be my signature move from now on. Every time I have a duel with someone, I’m gonna flip my hair like a boss before I start fighting. Yea. I should really start worrying about the animals.
If I need to survive this game, I have to work on my build. But before I do that, I have to get experience points so that my character could level up. I closed my eyes, and did a virtual check-up on my skills. I frowned. I only had two stinking skills. I had to work hard if I’m going to get the experience points I had as a beta tester. The first skill I had, was the original skill that all characters had when they start the game. It was the advance attack technique, which you could use every three minutes. It increased your attack by double, which could be pretty epic if you had a high attack level. The other skill I had, was new.
I looked around me. The animals were going to attack me any second. I was dead meat. Well, maybe dead meat wouldn’t be so bad when you eat it with the sticky rice. Wrap it together with a leaf, and you could sell it at a restaurant.
I clicked on the new skill. It read, “Water Mode”. I frowned. I never heard of this in the beta test. But, I may have heard it from the stupid NPC girl from earlier.
“Congratulations. You are, and will forever be, the only player in Sword Art Online to unlock the Water Mode for your character. Your ability was unlocked for you, because you were the first to take this path.” She had said.
The only person in SAO to have this skill? That sounded pretty cool. But, maybe she exaggerated a bit. Sure, I’ve heard of skills that were limited to one person, but I haven’t really seen those skills in action. Can they really live up to their expectations?
I selected the skill. I thought of the monsters I had to fight a couple of hours ago. It was hard doing it alone. There’s no one to talk to here. No one to provide me comfort. Oh, snap out of it Taylor.
I locked eyes with the first monster that grabbed my attention. It was my beautiful goat buddy. Goat buddy. Heh.
How did this skill work? There’s no step-by-step explanations in the skill menu. Kayaba is a lazy bum.
I imagined myself back in the river. I remembered how I wanted the water to move a certain way, and it followed my command. I tried it now.
“Blaaah.” The goat said.
“What?” I said back to the goat.
“Blaaaaaaah.” The goat replied.
Great. I’m stuck in a forest for hours, and I’m talking to a talking goat. I know, the goat was talking in goat language, but it still talked.
