I knew there was no way I can out run a vampire. Them and their super speed, well that’s when magic comes in handy.

I closed my eyes and muttered a spell.

Instantly I felt myself speed up

Ah the power of magic.

I knew I was going fast, super fast. Everything around me was a blur and it hurt my eyes to keep them open.

But the power of being an elementlist, I didn’t need to have my eyes open to see. The trees guide me whispering in my ear which way to go.

I smiled and closed my eyes enjoying the wind ruffling my hair. But that was cut short. My eyes whipped open when I sensed it…Their footsteps their back… And there were more of them this time…

I slowed my pace when I felt him near me.

“Damn you can run” He said standing 5 meters away from me

“The power of magic” I replied with a wink

“I would have been faster if I had my energy”

“Now doesn’t that suck” I said with a pout

“You know...” He said his eyes glancing down to my neck “A little blood can boost me right up and as I recall you do owe me”

“Not on my watch” I said before taking off again

“Not so fast” I heard him growl but I was tackled to the ground.

I rolled over so I was straddling him

He nodded his head his eyes not leaving mine.

“Can you take them this time?”

“Nope”

He looked at me confused so I decided to explain.

“Just because I have your energy it won’t help me much because it’s not the same as gaining my own energy back”

“Hmm…Then it seems to me like I’ll need to help you fight again…” He replied

“You don’t have to”

“Oh..But I want too” He replied his eyes going dark and a mischievous look came across his face

I pushed myself off him and walked away

“I don’t want to know what you have in mind”

“Don’t worry about that…You’ll find out soon enough”

I froze startled at how close he was. His mouth right by my ear.

“If it has anything to do with my blood, I’m telling you right now! No way”

“I got the message the first time…Don’t worry you can re pay me in another way…”He whispered into my ear. I shuddered at the feel of his breath

I pulled away and ran from him

The speed had worn off so I was running regular speed and the vamp was next to me keeping up.

“So what do we do now?” He questioned

“Give me a minute” I said before slowing down into a walk

I looked around at my surrounding and noticed a small clearing. I stood in center and closed my eyes.
