The door clicked open and Randhir entered the room. He saw Sanyukta's shadow in the milky moon light indicating that she must be standing in the balcony. He was feeling quite guilty for his behavior in the evening. He shouldn't have pressurized her in that way. 'She must have been all broken by now' he thought but he had to do this for his own good, for her good and for their futureless life. 'At least she'd be happy' he thought. And there was nothing more important for him than her happiness, he knew that very well. Taking small steps towards the balcony, he stood behind her. She was standing lifelessly holding the railing. 'She must be cursing me, bitching me or maybe strangling me in her thoughts by now' his lips curled into a weary smile at the thought. Seeing her wrecked condition, his heart skipped a beat. He had never thought that their life would take such a meandering turn that he would have to take such a drastic step to part their ways. Life was so good, so blissful, and so serene until 'THAT DAY'. Taking a sharp intake of breath, he prepared himself to dive for another try to convince her to leave him. "Sanyukta... I...." He tried to get hold of her hands. And 'Thaaaap' he was knocked out by Sanyukta's blow. The blow came with such intensity that he landed on the floor clutching his nose. In a blink, Sanyukta tangled up their legs, so that he couldn't get up and she herself climbed up his stomach and sat there with her legs spread on two sides. Till then he couldn't register a single of the phenomenon that was occurring. After settling herself on his stomach, Sanyukta clutched his neck with her two hands. Her eyes were like burning him up with murderous stares. "What do u think of urself haan?" she screamed on top of her lungs clutching his neck tightly. "Who has given u the power to judge me?" She seethed. "Jab maan kiya pakad liya aur jab maan kiya chod diya?" "I m not a slave of urs. Do u understand that Randhir Singh Shekhawat?" her eyes flowing with endless tears... "Mujhse ek baar bhi nhi pucha and u jumped directly into conclusions?" "How can u think of me to be so cheap Randhir?" "Parth is a college friend of mine you fool....!" "How can u assume that we are having an affair when u hardly know the whole scenario...! Do u think of all these to be a game Randhir? Our marriage? Our life? And moreover, u tried to make urself a culprit without knowing the whole issue? U don't even have the slightest trust on me... How can you?" Sanyukta collapsed on the floor next to Randhir and started sobbing badly. Randhir till then was numb. He had just gone through some of the biggest shocks in his life in those few minutes. First- his WIFE knew 'Taekwondo' , second- he was a big 'FOOL' to misinterpret stuffs and jump into drastic conclusions before knowing the actual thing, third- his wife was a 'MIND-READER', well the third one, he assumed her to be one. Keeping his mind-talks aside, he got up. "Sanyukta, how do you know all these?" he asked her totally shocked by knowing the fact that she knew all. "Shut up you fool...! I knew that there was some issue that u, out of nowhere, asked me to get divorced...! And knowing that u have a 'MOUNTAIN-SIZED' ego, u wouldn't have told me the cause. So I called Jiggy up, who must have induced the idea of getting divorced in ur mind, being a lawyer..." She scrunched her nose at this, and stabbed Jiggy infinite times in her mind. "And then he started telling off me saying that I shouldn't have done this to u..." "I got to know about the whole issue from him... me meeting Parth in the coffee shop yesterday; he hugging me; u seeing us; we spending the whole day together and u misinterpreting all the things." She completed and rubbed her draining red nose with her hand. "But I thought u love him..." he was severely traumatized by her story. "And I can strangle u right away for speaking this sentence..." She shoved him off harshly and looked away. "Randhir, I thought that at least u have this much trust on me to ask me stuffs... but congrats... u proved me wrong..." she was truly miffed by his stupidity. "If u wanna confirm that I don't have any such affair with Parth, then call Kaustuki up and ask her about this and u'll get to know about our five-years friendship from her..." She stood up and walked towards the room. Randhir was clearly not in a good condition. He has committed a severe sin... He has suspected his wife to have a secret affair... HIS Sanyukta... Moreover he has tried to cover up the whole issue by depicting himself the 'BAD ONE'. He was feeling hell guilty. He has lost all the courage to face her now. "Ab kya wahi pe baith ke Sanyas lene ka irada hai?" Sanyukta mocked from inside the room. He rose from the ground and walked inside and saw her arranging the bed. "Sanyu... amm... I m sorry... m really sorry for what I did..." he stood infront of her, head down in shame. His tears betrayed him and fell down his cheeks in a flow. Sanyukta stood up from the bed and took him in her arms, thus hugging him tight. "Why did u try to take the blame over ur head Randhir? Why did u set up a fake affair of urs when u could have charged me?" She caressed his back slowly. He was sobbing by then clutching her in his arms tightly. "I m sorry... M sorry... M sorry..." he was chanting only a sentence. "Shhhh......" she tried to shush him down. Pulling his face up, she wiped his tears. "I cant live without u Randhir" her eyes reflecting a blissful truth. "How did u know about the fake affair?" he held her close. "I know u in and out Randhir... I trust you... it was not rocket science for me to find that out..." she looked into his dark brown orbs which held a bucket full of guilt. "But I didn't trust you Sanyukta... m feeling like stabbing myself rite here....!" He exclaimed clutching his hairs. She cupped his face and kissed his forehead. "Randhir calm down... it was just a misunderstanding..." "Please forgive me Sanyukta..." he said holding her closer to his heart. "Why did u set the fake affair up Randhir?" she repeated her previous question at this. But he was silent. "why?" she again repeated "Cause I didn't want u to suffer under any sort of guilt..." he broke his silence. "why?" she again repeated. "I cant see u in pain..." he replied honestly. "why?" she again repeated. "because I love you damn it...!" he whispered against her ears and a chill went down through her spine. "I love you too randhir.... An unconditional one and will do till my last breath..." she sighed a breath of contentment after his statement. "An unconditional one?" he asked her curious to know that he has heard the right thing... "An unconditional one... yah..." she breathed against his chest. He took her hands in his and kissed it softly. "I m sorry again..." he was still not over with his guilty session. "Now shut up... otherwise m gonna apply some of my taekwondo skills to shut u up..." she tried to cheer him up and he smiled a million dollar one... "U never said that u know 'Taekwondo'..." he asked inquisitively. "And u also don't know that m gonna kiss u now..." Saying this she placed her lips on his and gave him the fourth shock of his day. Pushing him on the bed, she came on top of him still engaged in the kiss. His hands wandered about on her back and she clutched his hairs tightly to allow her to enter his mouth. She bit his lower lip hardly to which he broke the kiss and stared at her horrifyingly. "This one for the evening" she smirked pulling up her imaginary collars. "And this one for loving me unconditionally" He pulled her under him and latched their lips in no time... thus kissing their hearts out which ended up in a hot make out session. Later that night, Sanyukta placed her head on his chest and he caged her in his arms promising to the one above that he'd protect and love her forever.
