Fionna's POV

Chapter 1:worries

"Cake?Cake? I want to talk to you!" I look around and try to find my adoptive sister Cake. She acts more like a mother. I check the living room. Nope. Bedroom. Nada. I finally find her in the Kitchen mending my Ball gown. "Cake! Seriously! Why weren't you answering me?" I demand. Cake replies calmly"Well, The sewing machine is kinda loud, so I couldn't hear you. And you don't have to snap." "Sorry Cake. I just really want to talk to you." "Fionna, what's up? You seem really worried." She says, her face softening as she stops the sewing machine. "Y'know how Marshall lee has always had a soft spot for Ice Queen?" I ask."Hon, are you sure "The Vampire King" has a soft spot for anyone?" She says, putting emphasis on Marshall's title. She never liked Marshall, but since he's my friend, he's her friend too. "Umm.....well.....I know he has one for the Ice Queen!" I say, trying to stay on topic. "What are you getting at Girl?" Cake says as she shoots me a funny look. "What I'm saying, is what if Ice Queen gets Marshall to team up with her?" Cake looks at me with her cat eyes and says firmly, "Fionna, Who in their right mind would team up with the Ice Queen?" "Thanks Cake. I guess you're right. I'm gonna go to Marshall's anyway, just in case." " Ok, Be home by 10:00." Cake calls as I walk towards the door. "OK. Bye Cake! I check my watch. It reads 8:00. It'll take me 30 minutes to get there, and 30 to get back, so I'll have an hour at Marshall's cave. Good enough.

Chapter 2:A noise in the woods.

I walked out of the house and into the forest, the fastest way to Marshall's. As I walked I hear a twig snap behind me. I draw my sword and whip around to see...nothing. I am cautious for the next few steps, then something grabs me and raises me up about twenty feet. I shriek and turn around, to find myself Face to face with The Vampire King himself. "Marshall! Put me down!" He just smirks and pretends he can't hear me. He floats to the ground and laughs. "Gotcha!" He says. I giggle a little. Hey, it was a pretty good scare. "Yep, you got me good." He floats beside me and keeps my speed. "So, where you headed?" He asks. "To your house." He shoots me a look "Why?" "To hang out, of course! But if you don't want to, I can always go back home and hang out with Cake...." "No!" He says hurriedly. "I mean, it's really boring at my house, so you're welcome to come over." "Great!" We continue to chat all the way to his house.

Chapter 3: The Cave

We get to Marshall's cave around 8:30. I've never really had a chance to look at it, so I am Awe-struck when I do look at it. The walls are black, and everything else is brownish. "Nice place you got here!" I say. Marshall's face brightens up at this. "Thanks!" He goes to the corner and grabs his bass. He strums it a couple times and beautiful music comes from it. He takes a breath and starts singing.

There is a beautiful girl that I love

She is as graceful as a dove

She is an angel from above

Her smile is so very sweet

To be around her is quite a treat

"So, what do you think?" He asked nervously "I think whoever you wrote that song for will fall head over heels for you!" I tell him. I try o make small talk. "What does Red taste like?" Just as he was about to reply, My watch beeps. It reads 9:45. "Oh Glob, Cake wants me home by 10:00, and it takes me 30 minutes to get back!" I almost shout. "Calm down. It's only 15 minutes as the bat flies." He says as he changes to giant bat form. "Thank you so much Marshall!" I say as I climb on his back. We fly back to my house just as it is 10:00. I guess Cake didn't expect me to be home by then because she was waiting outside with a surprised look on her face. Either that or the fact I was riding a giant bat.
