Chapter 002
Danielle Benson Point of View
"Okay students today I decided that we'll do a essay instead of a pop quiz." My English teacher, Ms. Wong said.
Students cheering.
Some just studying.
"I'll have the class president pass out the papers." She said.
A boy with glasses walks up to her.
"While Mr. James is doing that, I'll announce your partners for this essay." She said.
Ms. Wong calls us by our first name but adds the Ms. and Mr.
James passes out the papers.
"Okay the first pair is." She said.
"Chris and Ashley." She said.
"Amber and Samuel." She said.
"Spencer and Damien." She said.
Then Spencer starts whining.
"What's wrong Ms. Spencer?" Ms. Wong ask.
"I want to be partners with King." Spencer said.
She wraps her arms around King.
I roll my eyes.
"Well sorry Ms. Spencer, Mr. 19 is with Ms. Danielle." Ms. Wong said.
I slam my desk with my hands.
Standing up.
"What?!" I said.
"Is there a problem Ms. Danielle?" Ms. Wong ask.
"Yes there is." I stated.
"What is it?" King ask.
My attention snaps towards him.
I point my finger at him.
Walking towards him.
"It's you that what it is!" I said.
He sigh.
"Is it about what happened last year?" He ask.
I cross my arms.
Turning away.
"Ms. Wong, I want a different partner." I said.
She shook her head.
"I'm afraid you can't." She said.
I open my mouth to speak.
But she beats me to it.
"Your partner is Mr. 19 and that's final." She said.
She goes back telling the kids their partner.
I clench my fist.
Grabbing my bag.
Walking out of the class.
Slamming the door shut.
*Bang!*
The sound fills up the hallways.
Not caring.
I walk to the library.
