Again. It was probably the fifth time out of the month that the neighbors mail had been wrongfully put into her mailbox. Dorothy didn't mind of course. She enjoyed chatting with her next door neighbor.

His name was Chris and he was a drivers education teacher and she, for some reason appreciated that. But it was curious that his mail kept appearing in her mailbox. She took the letters off of her counter and headed towards her door to yet again deliver his mail. Right as she opened the door he was there about ready to knock.

"Oh, hello."

"Hi Dorothy. Did you happen to have my mail again?"

She let out a light chucke and handed it to him with a smile.

"I don't think they realize that you are 3314 not 3313."

He looked at the letters in his hand with a light sigh. He did like seeing Dorothy. She was extremely kind and generous and absoutely stunning. He was glad he was putting his mail in her mailbox. Just another oppertunity to snatch up a conversation.

"Yeah, I guess not."

Chris let out an awkward and forced chuckle and she smiled lightly.

"Well, goodnight and thanks again."

As Chris headed towards her house again nearly halfway through the small yard seperating them he decided on asking her something.

"W-Dorothy, would you like to have lunch? I mean you don't have to I just thought maybe lunch is nice, yeah?"

She turned towards him since she was heading through the door with an apologetic smile and her eyebrows furrowed.

"Sorry, I didn't catch that?"

"I was uh just wondering if you wanted to have lunch...with me."

She let out a light chuckle at how nervous he was and she nodded slightly still trying not to giggle and make him embarassed.

"Yes, I would like that very much."

Her hair, as always had made its way to her face and she pushed a bit behind her ear putting her hand up as if to wave.

"Great, I mean good." Chris paused so he could let out a small chuckle, "Goodnight Dorothy."

"It's Doe."

As Chris headed towards his house and Doe back inside they both knew how excited they were. Doe went inside grinning and Chris was positively radiant.
