•Harry's POV•
I'm not exactly sure why I woke before the sun, but I did. I knew the light would rise soon. I felt around my mattress finding no Carter.
I felt my heart sink way down into my chest.
It was just a dream.
A nightmare.
A cruel vision teasing me.
"Damn it!" I cursed punching my pillow.
"Harry?" She asked.
It wasn't a dream. My beautiful Carter Smith was laying on the other side of me. I felt foolish but nothing mattered besides my overwhelming happiness that she was here.
"Baby." I said, wrapping my arms around her bare back and dragging her against me. She smiled at me under her long eyelashes.
"Carter, I'm so sorry, I didn-" I started, she interrupted me by kissing my lips softly. It drove me nuts when she'd do that.
"Shh." She said, gently stroking my cheek. "I'm the one who should be sorry. I should have told you." She said.
"You should have." I admitted. "But I should have let you explain."
Her face drifted to a confused expression I could barely make out in the dark.
"How did you find out the whole story?" She asked.
"Ben." I answered. I suddenly remembered the rest of the situation. "Carter why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be going back to South Dakota?" I asked, my heart sinking. Her face seemed to distance as well.
"Yeah..." She said. "I was in the taxi... and I just knew that I couldn't leave like that. I needed to set you straight about the story. Even if you still hated me, I wanted you to know the truth." She said, her voice emotional.
"No, baby," I said, hugging her against me. "I could never hate you."
She hugged me tighter.
•Carter's POV•
Harry loved me. That's all I could ever want. He forgave me. I felt leaving would only be harder now. Maybe it was a mistake coming back.
"Carter?" He asked me, looking into my eyes.
"Hm?" I asked.
"Does your dad know you're here?"
"No."
"Does anyone?"
"No." I admitted.
He kissed my lips again, and ran his hands down my backside.
"Good." He mischievously smiled.
I smiled back at him and kissed his nose.
He again wiped it off.
"Stop." He warned.
I giggled.
He pulled me against him again. I loved how strong he was. I loved when he tugged me to him without the slightest break of sweat. He was the only boy who ever made me feel so lovingly small.
Harry kissed my lips deeply, exploring his tongue around mine. He ran his large hands down my body.
Feeling drowsy suddenly, I turned to my side, spooning into Harry.
He kissed the sensitive spot under my ear.
"Harry," I giggled. "I'm tired." I said.
He huffed.
"I missed you." He complained.
Harry and I talked until dawn. It felt only minutes had passed but it was a few hours of laughing and intimate whispers.
I laid quietly against him now.
I suddenly realized today might be the last day in Hamilton for me.
He seemed to read my mind.
He huskily whispered into my ear.
"Stay."
I felt my heart lift.
"I can't." I said sadly.
"You're eighteen, they can't make you do anything." He said kissing my cheek. "Be with me."
"Harry,"
"Just for the summer." He suggested, looking into my eyes. "Stay here with me for the summer and you can go to college in the fall." He pleaded, his eyes serious.
"Harry. That's crazy." I said.
"Carter, please."
I hated that I was considering it.
"Where would I stay?"
"With me."
"Here?" I asked.
"Yes." He said kissing my lips. "Please baby."
"Harry,"
"Carter." He returned.
I was quiet for a minute.
"Just for the summer?" I asked.
"Yes." He said.
"What about Ty? My father? What happens when we get attached and want to stay together." I said, sounding practical.
"Baby stop worrying. You're looking for excuses. Stay." He said.
I was silent for a long moment.
"My mother will kill me." I sadly stated.
"No she won't." He said, stroking my hair.
"Harry this is impractical." I said.
"You know what's impractical? You leaving when we both know you can stay if you wanted. I love you Carter. Don't leave."
I cuddled into him.
"I'm scared." I said.
"I know, but I'll be here with you every night." He ran his long fingers down my back giving me goose bumps.
"You make it all sound so easy." I said.
"What's hard about it?"
"My parents."
"Carter, you can spend the rest of your life making it up to them. You're an adult and they can't accept that." He said. His eyes narrowed. "You want to be here with me don't you?"
"Of coarse I do." I admitted.
"Then stay."
"Well if I'm going to stay here I need to pick out new furntiture." I laughed. He grinned and pulled me in for a bone crushing hug.
"Make the whole place pink for all I care."
"I love you." I said.
"I love you too." he said kissing my lips.
We spent the rest of the morning kissing and softly touching eachother.
