Grandma's gone. She was all I had, and now she is only a Was. I've noticed something. When people die, they become Was. She was a good person. She had a caring heart. We all know someone like that. Unless you don't. That's okay, too. But, then the question arises, Isn't there a place after death? That's what all those Christians try to tell us... We'll go to a "better place", right?
So why is there a Was at all?
She's not truly gone if there's a place after death, so the word Was shouldn't even exist. She is still a good person, just not on earth anymore. She still has a caring heart, it just doesn't technically beat anymore. Not here, anyway.
But, if there is a 'better place', where is it?
In the sky?
Underneath everything?
Or is it... Something... More? Ethereal, maybe. Either way, I want to know why. I want to know where it is. How it is. And I will go to any lengths to find out.
