Touring With One Direction

Chapter 7

Day of the tour

*Niall's P.O.V*

The boys, Clara and I are in the tour bus. Our first concert is tonight in London. It's going to be a really big concert! We're performing our new song with Clara and I wonder how everyone's going to react! Most fans won't want another One Direction member and they'll take it badly. Technically she's only singing one song... oh man I'm worried! We're almost to the stadium and we have to practice the quick changes, entrances and all that. After Clara sings, she'll introduce herself and stay on stage for one more song, then leave. I hope this all goes well!

*Clara's P.O.V.*

I can't belive the first concert's tonight and I'm so scared! Yes I've sang in front of a crowd, but this is bigger than a crowd. I bet the fans will hate the girls part in the new song. I enter after they sing Kiss You. I feel so proud! I gave Rose passes for backstage and front row seats! I step out of the tour bus and all I see are flashes

"Hey Niall is this your girlfriend?"

"Clara, tell me about Niall in bed!"

"Are there any new secrets this tour?"

There's so much going on, I almost lose the boys and the crew. If course Paul is there to help us through the paparazzi. I tried to smile and look pretty as much as I could! I don't want my face on a cover of a magazine if I look scared or angry! Right as the boys and I get to the stadium, were dragged in not one, but all directions (lol)! The wardrobe ladies send me to a dressing room. They come in with so many outfits that are amazing! They're totally my style! I keep trying on things from neon to dark. Heels to flats. Finally the wardrobe found the perfect outfit, and I instantly fell in love! It was a white crop too with high-waisted shorts so not much is showing. My shoes were black wedges with silver gems. I was in love! Then the manager sent me over to the dance area. The boys were all there. There wasn't much choreography. They guys liked to make their own moves. I was afraid I would bump into them. We practiced my entrance. I come out and walk to the beat to the from of the stage. I sing and jump around and have fun up there for a short minute while the guys harmonize. Then I make to the background where all the guys are and I add runs and long notes to add flare. I feel ready for tonight.

** 1 HOUR UNTIL START **

More ladies drag me off and we head to makeup. They give me a softer smokey eye and thick mascara and eyeliner that's winged out a bit. My lips are red and glossy. Quick face touch up and I hear the crowd go wild! It started. The butterflies race through my stomach. I have an hour or less until I have to go. I try not to over think everything because that usually messes me up. The song I'm singing is super upbeat, so I try to get pumped by jamming out to the boys singing on stage.

"Clara, you're on in about 5," I hear. I turn around and I see the stage manager looking at me. I nod. Wow an hour passed already! I get my makeup touched up and I'm handed a mic.

"Hey guys! How's it goin tonight?!" Louis yells. The crowd screams!

"Wanna hear a new song??!!" I hear Niall ask. The crowd is now deafening.

I hear the beginning of the song start and I get ready I come out for the second chorus and sing until the end. I'm getting super pumped and scared! I jump up and down getting into the mood if the music. It's time!

The middle doors open and I walk out and start singing. I hardly hear the crowd become louder! I walk up to my spot. I start walking and jumping around, looking at the fans, singing to them, having a good time! I get lost in the music and forget that I'm on stage in front of thousands! As my part comes to an end, I step back and join the rest of the boys. We sing the chorus one more time and finish the song. I'm beaming now.

"Hey guys, I would like to introduce you to my girlfriend, Clara!" Niall screams. The crowd is now freaking! They're chanting "Nara!' Over an over. I'm loving it! I wave to the crowd. The boys look at me signaling that is my time to speak.

"I'm so happy I get to sing part of a song in the new album! It's amazing! I really hope you guys enjoy the rest of the show!!" I kiss my hand and bring it out to the crowd, waving. I walk backstage and I feel the adrenaline pulsing through my body. That was the most AMAZING this I've ever done! I listen to another song until its time for wardrobe change. They come backstage. Niall gives me a long kiss. "I'm so proud of you!" He says, "that was amazing! The crowd thought so too!" All I could do is smile!

"I'll catch up with you after the concert but I gotta change!" He rushes off and I sit backstage, feeling like this is all a dream!
