Chapter 17

"We didn't even get to spend an hour with her.." I choked, still in disbelief at the thought of losing our baby.

A few hours after she was rushed away the nurse came back bearing deep apologies stating they did everything they could.

It was unbearable.

"We didn't even get chance name her." Harry choked.

A stray tear ran down my cheek as I stared in shock.

The room was completely silent and Harry had sent the lads home.

"You're free to go whenever miss Thompson." The nurse said quietly and I silently thanked her.

Before she left she turned around. "If you like you can name her and register her birth..and death here before you leave." She said lowly and I nodded.

Her death... moments after being born she was torn from life.. no first smile, tooth, no first steps.. nothing.

I slowly climbed out of bed and Harry reached out to help me but I flipped him off.

I grabbed my dressing gown and wrapped it around me tightly and slipped on my shoes.

"What would you like to name her?" The woman asked kindly, with the tone that you could tell she felt sorry for you, but didn't want to show it too much incase it upset you more.

I looked to Harry and back to the woman. "Darcy. Darcy Anna Styles"

Harry looked at me surprised. "Really?" He beamed.

I nodded. "Yeah. I like that." I smiled sadly, stopping the tears from falling.

"Its a beautiful name." The woman smiled as she scribbled a few things onto the paper and we signed the birth certificate and death certificate.

We left the office and I went back to my room to grab my bag which was taken from me by Harry who carried it out for me.

As we passed the nurses and I signed my release forms I was sent pitiful looks.

Obviously the news had gotten around the hospital about Harry Styles and his girlfriends baby loss.

We exited the hospital and was immediately surrounded by paps.

"Ariah how are you and baby?!"

"Where's the baby?"

"Harry what have you called her?"

My heart was aching so bad right now as they shot questions at us about our baby.

Harry wrapped his jacket around me, keeping me in his grip and guiding me to the car as he mumbled the occasional "Give her some space" and "leave us alone" to the paps.

We got to the car and I climbed inside.

We both sat in silence as Harry drove and I finally spoke up.

"Take me home.. please."

"Yeah, baby Im taking us home." He ran a hand over mine, I could tell he was being strong for me.

Id ruined his life; I got pregnant and ruined his reputation.. then lost the baby and crushed his heart.

"No, my home." I said and he coughed.

"What?" He choked.

"I want to go to my own home." I whispered and he sighed, driving onto my street.

"Well I'll come with you?" He said, his voice filled with desperation as he followed me out of the car.

I turned to face him and shook my head.

"No.. Harry I want to be alone."

He looked hurt and it broke my heart even more. But I couldn't handle being with him after tonight.

And especially not in a house surrounded by baby stuff.

"Ari please." His voice cracked as I reached my door.

I bit my lip and turned to face him once again.

I leant in and kissed him long and hard.

He pulled back in confusion.

"Congratulations Harry.. you're off the hook." I smiled sadly before quickly unlocking the door and going inside, locking the door behind me ignoring Harrys pleas to open the door and talk about this and how he doesn't want this to be the end of us.

I slid down the door as I dropped the keys to the floor as tears streamed down my face.

-Harrys P.O.V-

I sped home, tears running down my face as I stormed into the house to see the lads waiting in my home.

I looked at them and they stared, not knowing what to say.

"She's gone. They're both gone. Ariah doesn't want me anymore. She told me I was off the hook and left." I choked, still in shock as I chanelled my anger on the mirror and smashed it into a billion tiny pieces with my fist, leaving the boys speechless.
