That One Audition

Chapter 2 - Meeting Ashley

The audition.

It was the only thing that was going on my mind. As I finished singing the song my mom used sing. It was already 9 am and the place where the audition was about to take place, was half an hour away from where I lived. I once again went to the bathroom and looked at my reflection in the mirror. 'Calm down Myra, you can do this.' I said to myself. I took my car keys and went off to the destination. As I turned the radio, a Japanese song came on. I am actually in love with the Japanese songs. They are great. I know many languages like Japanese, French, Hindi, Spanish and Italian etc.

As I drove the car, I hummed to its tune. As I was busy humming with the song, I noticed a picture of a band on a billboard. Sidarthur - Jose Cunninghem, Roberto, Dave Efron and Stu Wolf. I've seen them on the posters in my cousin's room. Seriously that girl won't stop from babbling about them and especially that Cunninghem. I admit that he is good looking but she always scolded me like a mother that he is a Greek god. Oh seriously dude?!

Thinking about all those memories, I didn't realised that I reached the place. It was all I expected. There was a huge building there. I parked my car and went inside the building and saw a huge line there. WOAH! Now I doubt about me being accepted in this audition. I stood in the line.

As I was standing and humming my song, I accidently stepped on a girl's foot. Ugh Clumsy me! I immediately apologised to her and she just smiled and "Its okay. My name is Ashley. Nice to meet you." She said.

"Nice to meet you too. I am Myra. Myra Middleton" I replied.

Ashley was indeed a beautiful girl. She had Brunette hair with blond highlights and dark brown eyes. She wasn't wearing anything slutty like some girls I saw here.

"So what brings you here Ashley?" I asked.

"I don't even know why the hell I even signed up for this audition. Some people just complemented my singing and I went on cloud nine but now I look like I just saw a ghost" She chuckled.

"I believe we are going to besties because I have the same reason" I laughed. She laughed with me. Some people even gave us weird look. Seeing that we laughed more.

"What song are you singing there?" She asked.

"Well I am going to sing the song my mom always used to sing to when I was small" I replied.

"Oh that's great. I am going to sing Who Says by Selena" She said.

"Cool!" I replied. We were standing and chatting that we didn't realized that it was almost our turn.

"All the best girl. Break a leg there" I said to her.

She chuckled and replied "I hope so. And You too don't miss to impress the judges" She winked.

I laughed. We talked like we knew each other from years. Looks like I made a new friend here. Her number was spoken in the speakers and it was her turn. She gave me a quick hug and went inside the room. After her number is my turn. My audition number is 74 and Ashley's number was 73. After a few minutes she finally came out and hugged me so tight.

"I got accepted. Yay!!" She said squealing. I smiled and congratulated her. Soon my number was heard in the speakers.

"Break a leg Mie" She shouted as I went in the room.
