-NORMAL P.O.V-

"Now normally we'd spend at least thirty five minutes of theory and then half an hour of physical work. But as it's the first day of term we're just gonna go straight to the physical and pick up on the written work tomorrow. Now up and out, head straight to the oval and do two warm up laps. Go." The H&PE;teacher slams her hand down onto the table and watches as we all stand up and head to the door. I'm really not in the mood for running. Like really really not in the mood.

"WOO THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!" Liam cheers, nudging me on the shoulder as he runs out the front door of the school and jogs over to the oval.

"I DON'T want to do this..." Louis grunts, walking up behind me.

"Urghh me neither..."

"Don't mark me wrong, I love sport, but I am just not in the mood." He flips his fringe to the side and jogs over to join Liam on the track. Oh god. This will be 'fun'. I slowly pick up my pace and run over to Louis and Liam who are already half way through the oval. "Hello again Zo." I smile at him and then face forward, steadying my breathing and looking up at the track ahead of me. "This will be fun." Louis puffs. "I think I'm gonna enjoy this class."

"You bet we will." Liam adds. We turn the corner of the oval and look at each other cheekily. Liam smirks, "On three." Louis and I nod, looking straight ahead and waiting for Liam's word. "One," pause, "Two," pause, "THREE!" He shouts. I quickly place my right leg in front of my other as I sprint off to the finish line. I make sure to keep my back straight as I rush past Louis and match up in line with Liam. "First to finish the second lap wins!" Liam calls out, just loud enough so that Louis would hear from behind us. I bite my lip and speed up a little, game on. I try to focus on the track ahead of me, the lines of my lane, and the air rushing past my face as I race to the finish line. I try my best to ignore the group of students cheering from the side of the track, and the thought of what I might look like right now. It can't be attractive, not at the moment at least. I clench my teeth and form fists with my hands, pushing with every inch of my body to fight the pain in my legs and the cold air beating against my eardrums. Liam appears beside me and again I fight the urge to look to the side and smile. He grunts as he gains speed and races ahead of me. The line is really clear now, almost ten metres. I try to pick up more speed but I think I've hit my maximum. Liam races past the finish line and jogs down the track, me following closely behind him. Louis tags along, only a few seconds behind us as we all walk it out down the one hundred metre lane.

"That was fucking epic." Louis puffs, arching his back down and resting his hands on his knees.

"I needed that." Liam adds, wiping off the sweat from his forehead.

"Kill me now." I groan, lying back onto the rubber track and kicking my feet in the air, spreading them out like a snow angel. "Alright. I'm done." Liam laughs and sits down beside me.

"Not bad though Zo, you've kept it up."

"Not really. And that's probably why I have a cramp coming through. Hurts like a fucking bitch." Louis helps me up as we all walk over to the centre of the oval to do stretches. Most of the class is already there so we just join an empty space in the circle.

"Left knee up, ranch back the right." Miss Garter yells. Geesh, she's so frikking aggressive. I place my left leg in a 90 degree angle and let the right spread out behind me. "Switch!" I groan as I push my left leg back and bring my right to the front.

"And..." Liam does a little drumroll on the grass with his hands. I look over at him and follow his gaze to the side of the oval. Louis Laughs. "Harry's arrived!"

"Doesn't he have class?" Louis shrugs his shoulders.

"I think he'd much rather stare at-" Liam coughs, interrupting him. "Um..."
