A is an assassin who has been hired to assassinate B, a royal. When A sneaks into B's room at night and is about to assassinate them A notices how cute B looks while they're sleeping and decides to only leave a warning to them. A spies on B until one day they get caught but to A's surprise B invites them in and that's how their relationship develops
(Bonus: A gets killed or hurt badly while protecting B from another assassin who was hired to kill them)
