CHAPTER 1: Normal Days
Abel Tesfaye lived in the town of Toronto with his mother and Best Friend Lamar. Lamar and Abel were walking down the noisy streets to the restaurant not very far from there home. It wasn't a huge restaurant though, they only had a few things, chicken, fries, burgers, and sandwiches. But it was cheap so they went anyways. "You got the money?" Asked Lamar. "Yeah. I think so.." Said Abel unstable. He felt into his pocket but didn't feel anything. "Besides, even if we didn't have money, I know one of the waitresses. So, no biggie." Said Abel trying not to sound too worried. As they kept walking to the restaurant, they noticed a group of people walking up the alley way in long black cloaks. "Dude, I don't wanna stay around these guys.. They look.. Let's just say insane." Said Lamar laughing silently. When they got to the restaurant, they got seated and ordered there food. "I'm thinking of going to see my dad." Said Lamar as he shoved food into his mouth. "Where is he" asked Abel. "New Jersey. Don't ask me why he's there, he just.. Got up and left one day. Nothin much more I know about him." "Oh." Said Abel. One of the men in the cloaks came in. He appeared to have short brown hair and crippled skin and fingers. He was one of those people who you couldn't tell there age. He could either be 20 or 80. You would just never know. "Alrite man. They're freaking me out. Let's get outta here." Said Abel standing up. "Dude. Chill. Just some-" all of the sudden, the man looked at Lamar and he seemed to freeze right there. "Dude? Alrite, stop being an idiot. Let's go." He grabbed Lamar by the hand and went up to the counter. "Oh hey Abel!" Said the waitress twirling her hair and putting on red lipstick. "Very funny. Lamar is being stupid and is kinda freaking me out. Imma have to pay later okay?" "Mhm!" Said the girl with a very sarcastic smile. Abel didn't even wait for a response of any kind and they were already out of the door. They walked down to that alley way and the dude with a black cloak was there. "MAN, IM NOT PLAYIN, GET OUT." He said. Lamar all of the sudden turned his head to Abel and his eyes filled with tears. Red tears. Blood? Maybe? Lamar ran up to Abel knocking him into the wall. "AARRRGGGHHH" said Lamar grabbing his throat. By this time Abel saw the cloaked man, he walk off.

CHAPTER 2: Lamar no longer
Abel had no choice. Fight back, or get hurt or possibly killed. "What is wrong with you?" He said kicking him back onto the cement. He got up and twisted Abel's arm, practically all the way back. Abel was quick and head butted him. "Ouch." He wispered putting his hand over his head. By this time, Lamar wasn't moving. "Im sorry" said Abel running off. What was this? A prank? If it was, it was a sick prank. Abel ran twards his home. At the side of his house he briefly saw Lamar and the last thing he saw was a fist being put into his face.
CHAPTER 3: It's been years?
Abel woke up in the living room of his house. Only thinking it has been a few hours and his mom had found him, he yelled "Mom?! Whe-" Then he froze. Curtains had rip marks, the wooden floors were ripped up, and wall paper was falling off of the walls. Abel got up and looked around, broken pots, stools, vases, and beds. He looked up at the date tracker his mom had bought a few weeks previous. It read, June 4th, 2019. He looked outside of his window. Hordes of green and black figures lurked in the dead, yellow-brown grass. "What is this?" He whispered. He looked through the window cautiously and looked for any signs of his mom. Nothing. He walked into his mothers room which is right across from his and went on a search for anything he could find. He found a radio in a drawer, small enough to be held by hand, but needed a backpack to be held in. In his room he found a navy blue Swiss army bag his father had gotten him years previous. He found a box of half empty double-A batteries in the living room drawer and in the bathroom behind the mirror found medicines, vitamins, and shaving razors. Abel would use the razors I case he couldn't find anything else to use. He remembered one thing, he went back to the living room and behind the couch was a multi-tool knife which Abel's dad put there In case of emergency. He went back to the bathroom and looked at himself endlessly in the mirror. "What now Abel, what is left? What can you do?" He repeated over and over. He stopped and walked through the living room and picked up the family photo album and stuck in in the front pocket of the backpack. He also got granola bars and canned grew beans and put them in his bag. He hated granola bars and green beans, he knew it was better than nothing. He opened up the backdoor and felt himself become light headed. Lamar, mom, dad, Lamar's dad? Lamar's dad? Lamar's dad! Abel remembered something Lamar had said about him "Got up and left one day.." Maybe he knew something about this. "Forget it. That's stupid." Said Abel as he made sure the coast was clear. One walker guarded the gate. Abel gagged at the smell of it. Luckily, it was facing the walls, so he could get a better sneak on it. He walked slowly up to the walker and took out the multi tool knife, he slid open the knife, nail clipper, and metal toothpick almost looking tool. He pulled his hand back and threw the knife into his neck. "Aglappp!" He heard. Then, the walker turned around. Blood spewed from the front oh his neck and Abel stood there for a second. The walker fell to the floor and collapsed on the ground. Abel bent down and went for the knife. The walker grabbed him by his throat and pulled him into his back. Abel immediately kicked the walker in the face and took out the razors. He slowly jammed the end into the slit where the knife had been and gashed it 10 times before the walker collapsed. "Dumb luck." He said cleaning off his knife with his shirt. He had gotten some blood on his t-shirt and on his pants in the process. "Eh. Whatever." He said then he slowly opened the fence and crept out. Across the road was a corner store that may have supplies or something useful in it. "Should I risk it? Maybe.. There are people. Maybe.. Just those things.. Maybe nothing at all." He thought to himself. "I'll do it." He said as he crept over the road and behind the building.
CHAPTER 4: Anybody wanna do some shopping?
Abel walked along the wall of the building until he reached the side door. It had several planks on it. "Fantastic.. Just what I was looking for. Closed doors.." He whispered he looked around the side of the building. Then he remembered he had that multi-tool knife in his pocket. He opened up the knife and started chipping at the wood. After what seemed like forever of stabbing it, he had broken down all 3 bars of wood. He slowly opened the door, just to see snacks, and a gun sitting on the counter. "Is this thing loaded?" He asked himself quietly while holding the gun in his hand. His hands were slick from the zombie blood and dropped it on the floor. The trigger hit a nail on the floor and a bullet flew into the window. He watched as what seemed like a million walkers came up to the counter and broke it down. Abel had one choice, either hide in the cabinet or get eaten. Abel opened up he rusty cabinet and held the door shut with all of his might. He didn't want to alert any of he walkers, but the smell of them was almost unbearable. "mom, dad, someone. Help me."
