The day that changed everything

Chapter 1, How it all started

The day started like every other normal day. Waking up for school, taking a shower, making my breakfast and lunch, and watching the news on tv like everyday.

Normally, the news is just boring nonsense about some weird cat that does funny tricks, or how bad the weather will be today. But, today was different. Today, the news was all weird, and kinda scary. It was about a man that was running across the street, and attacked four people only to put his teeth into their skin. The man took four people down before someone made an end to it. A police officer who walked his round on that block ran to the man and smashed him to the ground. Once he looked at the guy he realised that the man looked all different. His face wasnt a real face anymore and his arms were all eaten away. That was everything what the news told us this morning.

While still in shock with the news, I went to school. When I got to school, I noticed I wasnt the only one who felt weird about the news. Some students at school got a news update that said, that the four people were taken to the hospital to look for infections and to get treated. The man who did this was been shot by the police when they tried to arrest him. No one knew what was wrong with the man, but they only hoped it was over now.

The day at school was long and boring, besides the first class, where we talked about what was happening, we didn't really do anything. Or well i didn't. Because i was more concerned with what happend this morning. It just didn't seem right. I mean, there was someone who tried to eat other people! That just isn't right. But oh well, the guy was shot and the four people are being treated in the hospital.

For the rest of the day I didn't really think about what happend on the news this morning. I tried to keep my mind on my lessons at school.

 After school i went to the store to get some food and drinks and walked home with some friends. At the time we got home there was another news update about the people that were attacked and taken to the hospital this morning. It says they were showing ''weird symptoms''  and were throwing up. The Doctors didn't know what happend with them, but they kept running tests and kept them in sight.

At home, after we had dinner, dad started talking about the situation on the news. Even he, didn't really know what to say about it. We watched the news together to see if there were any new updates. Besides what was said this afternoon about the four people getting sick, there wasn't really anything new.

I decided to take a long hot shower and get into bed early. I know tomorrow will be another hard day at school because of some tests I have to do. After I got out of the shower I saw that there was a new news update about the attack this morning. The four people in the hospital were having some weird aggressive seizures. Doctors still don't know whats happening to them. Is this the start of something horrifying?
