New Beginning AKA the Inheritance

Rose's POV:
I woke up to my alarm clock at 4:20 in the morning. I was used to getting up this early as it was the best way for me to spend time with my mother, we would go for a run every morning before I had to leave for school. It was not often that she would be around during the day as she had to run her pack, my mom is a werewolf and my dad is a human. I grew up as a human, but today would be the last day to find out if I got my mom's genes for being a werewolf, my eighteenth birthday. I was really excited because I could feel the energy of today.
I ran downstairs to where my mom was. She was always ready before me, but would wait for me and then we'd run to the pack lands and back, so every day we ran about four miles. When I was younger I would complain, but now I appreciate that my mom took the initiative to get me running as I have been on the track team every year for high school and I could keep up with a werewolf in their wolf form, and they were pretty fast. "You ready Rose?" "Yes mom! I love running with you and I can't wait for tonight!" "Me either Rose." I stretched out before jogging out the door, dad would sometimes join us, but it was not often. We started off at a light jog before going into a full fledged run.
We came home, I was slightly winded, but I enjoyed my run. Once we were inside I went upstairs to get a shower before school. I grabbed a blue towel and my clothes for the day. I was really happy as it was also the last day of school. I quickly showered and got ready for school. Once I was ready I ran downstairs and grabbed a bagged lunch with my breakfast and left for school.

~ At School ~

I sat in my first period. It was an easy class, but the teacher was not always able to teach well enough for everyone to understand. I sighed as people were chatting with friends, for some reason the noises were bothering me today which was strange. I stared at the board as class began.

~ Timeskip After School ~

I walked home enjoying the quiet and how the beauty of the surrounding environment. This was always something that I enjoyed. I wasn't paying much attention as I was walking and bumped into someone. "Oh, I am sorry... I didn't mean to run into you." "It is okay. I wasn't paying attention." I smiled looking up at the guy. "I'm Rose. What is your name?" "I am Damion and I just moved here." "It is nice to meet you Damion. I apologize, but I must be heading home." I walked away from him and toward my house. Missing the dark smirk.

Damion's POV:
I couldn't help, but smirk once I saw her. She was mine, but she didn't know it yet. I walked towards my house patiently knowing that her inheritance would be coming soon and I would finally be involved in her life. I couldn't wait, but I knew I had to until she found out who she was.

Rose's POV:
That was odd today. He seemed kind of familiar, but I couldn't place my finger on the connection. I got home and sat down to do my homework for that evening and get it out of the way. I worked on my homework till my parents came home.
