Essie pulled the covers over her head to try and drown out the terrible noise.
*beep beep beep*
Rubbing her eyes, she resurfaced from her hiding place beneath her comforter and turned off her alarm. Gazing around her room, she swung her feet over the edge of her bed grabbing her glasses and getting up and heading to the bathroom plugging her curling wand in before she left. After about ten minutes, she came back to her room to get dressed. She had picked out her outfit the night before to make sure she had enough time to get her hair and makeup just right. She pulled on her ripped blue jeans, a white tank top and tied a red flannel around her waist, pulling a cardigan over her shoulders to finish the look off. She sat at her desk and looked at herself in the mirror, applying some foundation, eyeliner, mascara and filling in her eyebrows, not bothering putting anything but her favourite EOS lip balm on her lips. She grabbed her curling wand and started curling loose waves in her long brown hair, tying a quarter of it on top of her head. Standing, she grabbed her phone off of her bedside table and checked the time.
8:45
Perfect. With just enough time to grab a coffee before heading to school, she grabbed her keys and slipped on her white vans ((damn Daniel)) and headed out the door.
