Chapter 7: Our Little Secret.

Autumn's P.O.V

My head hung low, in shame. I wouldn't have made that deal if Perrie was a nice person and would actually keep it a secret, but she isn't nice and can't keep a secret to save her life. My tears came out faster than I was expecting, my vision blurry. My feet dragged as I walked on the carpeted ground. I slowly walked towards Zayn's classroom, hoping the bell wasn't going to ring anytime soon. I wiped the tears away from my eyes and bit my lip, trying my hardest not to cry. Once I reached Zayn's classroom, I hear Darcy call my name in the hallway. I quickly turn towards her and practically fall into her arms crying. At first she was a little taken back by my action, but quickly brushed it off when she noticed I was crying.

She pushed me back slightly, her hands on both of my cheeks. Her thumb brushing away the fresh tears I had running down my cheeks. Her green eyes met mine, "What happened Autumn?" she asked, her eyes searching mine for an answer.

"I-I have t-to b-break up with Z-Zayn...'' I stutter as more tears spill from my eyes. I guess I didn't really realize how much I cared for Zayn. I was only doing this so he didn't lose his job over this and have to leave. I don't think I would be able to handle not being able to see him for longer than a couple days, even if we weren't dating.

Darcy's eyes went wide, "Why? I thought you and Zayn were perfect for each other?!" she questioned and I shake my head, trying not to cry.

"We are... but Perrie found out..'' I whisper and Darcy clenches her fists, her jaw tenses, "and she said she would tell the whole school if I didn't break up with him...'' at this point Darcy looked like she was about to rip Perrie's head off.

"I should've known it had something to do with Perrie." She grumbles to herself, "Autumn, I see how you and Zayn act around each other and how you two look so happy.. and dare I say this, but in love...'' she says full of care and I lock eyes with her. She nods her head, saying that she was right and not question it.

I sighed, "But the thing is, I really really like Zayn... I don't think I exactly I love him yet. We haven't been dating for that long, Darcy.'' I say and she nods with a shrug.

"I know you have, but its like you two have a connection.'' she says and looks around, "Now I need to go find that bitch and kill her.'' she grumbles, a small smile growing on my lips, only to have it disappear again.

I quickly grab her wrist, "No. I want you with me, so if I burst out in tears you can explain it to him.'' I inform and she bows her head, nodding.

I grabbed the doorknob, turning it to open the door. Zayn was sitting at his desk. He looked up and smiled, but his smile faded when he saw my face. Darcy closed the door behind me, locking it.

I sat down on his desk, he stood up in front of me, standing inbetween my legs. The pad of his thumb wiped away my tears, "Whats wrong Autumn?" he asked, his brown eyes staring into mine. I leaned forward, wrapping my arms around his torso, my head resting on his chest as his arms wrapped around me. I heard Darcy whisper a quiet 'awe'. I pulled away and looked up at Zayn. Poor guy doesn't even realize what i'm about to do. I already hate myself for this whole situation.

"Zayn... we need to break up...'' my voice cracks at the end, fresh tears spilling out of my eyes. Darcy put a hand on Zayn's shoulder, causing him to look at her in confusion.
