'You'll get better."
They all told me,
But failed to look into my eyes,
What was it that they failed to see?
When I tried to believe their lies.
"You'll go stronger."
They promised,
But my days were growing cold.
My life was slowly leaving my body,
Just an empty shell to hold.
"You'll be fine."
They brushed off,
Failing to see my tears.
How much longer could I go on?
I'm losing the battle with my fears.
"You're almost there."
They whispered,
But this is what I failed to see,
The darkness chased me far away.
I'm lost in pain and misery.
"What happened?"
They asked ashamed.
I shook my head and turned away,
I'm tired, I'm beaten, I'm broken and bruised,
The guilt of who I've betrayed.
"You're doing it!"
They marvelled,
At first I was confused,
But patiently waiting for time to pass,
I knew that it was true...
"I'm healing!"
I gasped,
I let the words sink through,
But I finally understand that I wouldn't of made it,
If it weren't for all of you...
