"Hey," a boy named Harry nodded after Delilah introduced herself, "My name's Harry, and you?" I looked at him for a moment more before looking back at Delilah. "Storm," I said, "Storm Lilac Brown." He nodded again and shook my hand before letting it drop and turning to his other friends, who all turned their heads and looked at me.
"This is Storm, Delilah's new friend apparently," he chuckled "Since this morning." Delilah blushed a bright crimson as all the boys smiled and laughed quietly. A few of the guys came over and introduced their selves as being Brendan, Mason, Grey, and Jack. They all seemed pretty nice so I just went along with whatever they were doing. I noticed that Delilah did too.
"Oh, she's my sister just by the way," Harry said as he pulled her in for a tight hug. I nodded in response, they looked about the same age but didn't look alike almost at all. I smiled at the group before walking over to a group of girls nearby. They all looked dark, with black on black on black it was hard to think of what there mindset would be. One of them caught my eye, she was wearing pastels and had ombre pink and purple hair, but seemed to have the same uncaring face like the rest.
I slowly walked over, aware that they were all watching me as if I might jump if they got too close. The girl in the pastels seemed to do just that when I stuck my hand out to her. "Hey, the name's Storm," I said with a smile as she shook it wearily. "Lou," she whispered as she slid her headphones off.
She smiled brightly and walked back over with me to the group, but her face fell as she saw Harry and the other boys along with Delilah. "I don't associate with them," she sneered. I cocked my head and gave her a questioning look. "They're outcasts," Lou said simply.
My smile turned into a sour expression as I whipped around and left her there. Stupid labels. I stomped back towards Delilah and pulled her with me to my first class as the bell rang. "What's wrong?" I just sighed and pointed towards Lou who still had a hateful expression, pointed towards nothing. Delilah nodded and whispered in my ear "She's with the popular people over there, she doesn't hang around them much, stay away from her," she warned.
Geometry, my least favorite thing ever. No matter how hard I studied, even when I skipped lunches for extra tutoring time and worked with the smartest teachers, I still had trouble with it. Delilah smirked along with Harry as I sighed in boredom and tapped my pencil against the desk, trying my hardest to listen to whatever the teacher was saying which at this point sounded like nothing but strange noises... I could swear she was speaking in tongues. When I looked up from my pencil I saw everyone's eyes were on me.
"Well?" The teachers voice rung in my ears as I slowly came back down to earth. "Uhhhhh what was the question?" That earned plenty of laughs from my classmates. She sighed and pointed her baton-like-thing at my face then to the board where a problem was written:
Triangle ABC has AC = BC, and ∠ACB = 96°. D is a point in triangle ABC such that ∠DAB = 18° and ∠DAB = 30°. What is the measure (in degrees) of ∠ACD? I just stared at it before she pointed at someone else who I think said seventy-eight.I scribbled down the problem on my paper. I'll figure it out later on my own. As soon as the bell rang I was called to Mrs. Ricks' desk and given basically given a slap on the wrist, to sharpen my mind and shape up. I walked out to see Delilah, Harry, and Jack.
"Nice going," Jack snickered as he patted me on the back. I shrugged him off and trudged to my next class. Harry and Delilah followed while Jack feigned hurt and stumbled to his next class as well.

The day was over thank god, but going home wasn't really any better. Mom was always gone no matter where she was working and the house was something not anyone would want to go back to. I sighed as I set down my papers and immediately got to work, within the hour I'd completed all the packets and essays due tomorrow. It wasn't a very happy day though because I still had nothing to do, what was I going to do?
I pulled my phone out of my pocket and flipped open the top, deciding to look at my old school and their webpage, not because it was necessarily interesting. A chatting circle had been made so that students would be able to talk to each other over the summer, too bad teachers never bothered to look.
Wishbone148: did any of you see Stormy today? Did she move?
Brooky_23: that's what I heard, too bad, now who'll do my homework?
Cherrybomb@b: who'll I beat up? She was my entertainment man!
Brooky_23: true
Brendan589: well at least the whore won't be around to fuck up the school anymore
Sicklyron: still too bad
I wiped a stray tear away and let my phone drop to the floor. It was no surprise to see Brooklyn, Ron, and Brendan on that dumb website but to see other people beginning to discover the website and finding another way to make fun of me was just as scary. I laid down in my rickety old bed and cried into my pillow. You'd think after having this happen since elementary I'd be used to it, but unfortunately it didn't work that way. I shot up as a knock on the door echoed through the house.
I opened it up to see someone I'd never think to see in a million years, and she looked just as shocked.
