Chapter 2

Stiles POV

I sighed as I got off work again and was driving to my second job,  a temporary  bar tender, I show up when needed.  I kept getting the feeling I was being watched, but I shrugged it off.  I put on my black smock and walked behind the bar.

It wasn’t long before the customers started to trickle in. It was a weekday so it wasn’t an excessively busy, but the usual folks who had a bad day come in and drown their day in liquor.

“Can I have a Corona please,” a voice said.

“Coming right up,” I said while my back was facing to the voice.

I grabbed the bottle and unscrewed the top and turned and froze in my tracks, shock and anger flooded me but I struggled to remain calm.

I made my face become emotionless and set the bottle in front of him.

“Derek.” I stated.

His eyes held a glare which I gave back.

“Can I have a tequila shot,” a guy said breaking my stare.

“Coming right up,” I said.

I placed a glass in front of the costumer and filled it up. I carried on trying to ignore Derek as much as possible, he keeps ordering the Corona.

“I’m here, I’m here,” a woman my age said half walking half running and trying to tie on her smock. “Sorry, my kids drive me crazy sometimes.  I’ll take over now, you can go home now.”

I saw Derek’s ears move as he heard the woman.

I let out a deep sigh and nodded, I walked towards my jeep untying my smock, I got into my jeep and peeled out. I noticed a black car peel out of the lot not less than one minute following me, I sighed, and clearly he wants to talk.

“Fine, Derek, sooner we talk the sooner you get out of my life.” I pressed on the gas and sped down the road getting closer, the black car following effortlessly.

I turned abruptly and stopped abruptly in my parking spot, a second later the black car pulled up next to me.

Derek got out of the car and leaned against it.

“Derek, if you tend to bring be back, save your breath and go back,” I said warily.

“You left without word or any indication,” he stated.

“Duh, I am here not there, so yeah I left.” I said slowly.

“Why?” he asked ignoring what I said.

“So many reasons, don’t wanna talk about it.” I said suddenly exhausted.

I turned and walked up the stairs to my apartment, I knew Derek was following me.  I unlocked my door and walked in leaving it open for Derek.

“Everyone missed you,” Derek said.

“Uh-huh like I believe that,” I said sitting on the couch.

“Stiles,” I shivered at the sound of him saying my name. “Quit the being all melodramatic and come back.”

I didn’t answer, I stared at the wall.

“Just think about it, think about coming home,” Derek said softly with an unfamiliar tone is his voice.

I crossed my arms, “I’ll think about it.”

“Alright, I’ll see you later,” Derek said.

I heard the door open and close. I slumped against the couch.

“Why MEEEE?!!!” I moaned out  and lay flat on my couch.
