Chapter 5 >> Hangin' Out With Elijah (Part 2)

"Soo. Here's the plan: This coming Friday, ask Demon first if what time will he come back home after researching. In that way, we'll know what time will we come back the house. Second, we need to know where should we start trailing the steps why Matthew is 'ghosting' me up to now without leaving any explanation. Got it?"-me.

"Got it. But, where should we start exactly?"-Elijah.

"The place where Demon's life as a human ends..."-me.

From that point, Elijah understood what I meant. He looked at me furiously and with the expression of "I Understand...".

After that, I told him that I would pack all the things we need in tracing steps and the 'emergency' stuffs since Elijah doesn't want t be blamed if ever I'll get hurt while we're gone.

We played Monopoly together for almost 2 hours, then with the help of Elijah, we were able to cook 'ramen' for lunch. Believe me, Elijah is a great cook even though he didn't took cooking classes. It's in his blood. Both his parents were great chef.

I slept feeling tired. Elij said it was normal since I'm 'preggers'. After 3 hours, Demon was already on my side, staring at me like there's no tomorrow. Elij was sitting on a bean chair (a kind of chair that is filled with tiny 'beans'; like a bean bag, except it's a chair). 

"How's your sleep, beautiful?"-Demon.

"Fine. How are you?"-me.

"Never better. You okay? You look a little tired"-Demon.

"I'm fine, really. Just got a little 'overdosed' to Minion Rush, that's all"-me.

Demon chuckled a bit while Elijah smiled at me slightly.

"I should interrupt, but I need to get going. My girlfriend's looking for me at this time"-Elijah.

"Woah, easy there, cowboy. Since when did you had a girlfriend?"-Demon.

"Since almost a year ago..."-Elijah.

"Who is she? Can she come over here tomorrow, please?"-me.

"It's Gabrielle..."-Elijah.

I forgot to tell you, Gabrielle was Matthew's girlfriend who had fellings for Demon. The reason why did all of this happened...

"Gabrielle Mason?!?!"-Demon.

"Yup. Gotta go now, guys. She's waiting for me at mah house"-Elijah.

"Have a safe trip...."-me.

"Take good care of my future goddaughter..."-Elijah.

Elijah left without hearing me... Demon touched my chest and he looked at me weirdly.

"What..."-Demon.

"What what? What's wrong?"-me.

"There's something wrong..."-Demon.

"What is it then, love?"-me.

"You have 3 heartbeats. 3 hearts, love..."-Demon whispered as he looked down. I closed my eyes. What's wrong now?!?!
