"Here's your keys miss. Welcome to lakes town. Enjoy your new house" The estate agent said hurriedly to me, practically shoving the keys of my new house in my face. I watched as he ran, quite quickly I might add for a such a big guy, to his car speeding out the huge front gates.
When I had walked into the small real estate agent near the edge of town he seemed very enthusiastic about selling this particular house. The house was beautiful and I knew that I was going to buy it but I couldn't help but wonder why this house was so cheap? It was massive. Three floors with more bedrooms that I can count. I was very curious about my next door neighbour however. The house was completely closed off to the outside. Huge iron gates and tall cement fences closed the property off from wandering eyes. I could only catch a glimpse in the window of the tall building on the third floor of my house. It was all very intriguing. My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the engine of the moving truck driving down the gravel driveway.
"Have you decided where you will be putting your furniture Ms James or will you need some more time?" Gary said to me as he climbed out of the truck.
"No, no I've already decided. Come on through to the house" I said to him, guiding him through the front door.
We spent the next four hours moving all of my furniture into the house, positioning it just the way I wanted. I gave Gary a very generous tip for his help and sent him on his way. I was very tired by the time seven o'clock at night rolled around so I thought I would grab a blanket and cuddle up on the council and have a nap and that's exactly what I did.
When I woke up from my nap it was about nine o'clock at night and I was starving and surprisingly still tired. Deciding to grab something to eat before I went upstairs to bed (I decided to have my bedroom on the third floor facing my next door neighbours house) I walked through to the kitchen and grabbed a granola bar, a banana and a glass of milk. I ate that at the kitchen bench and walked up the long winding staircase to get into bed. I pulled out my soft, comfy pyjamas and put them on and hopped in bed quickly falling asleep.

A blood curdling scream rippled through the night. I shot out of bed whipping my head wildly around my bedroom. The scream sounded again but I could tell that the sound wasn't coming from my house. I opened my blinds, peering into the house next door. I saw the front door open and shut and then a dark shape move out from the house. As the shape moved towards the front gate I could tell it was carrying some sort of garbage bag. 'Oh no' I thought to myself. 'Oh no, oh no ,oh-' I couldn't finish my train of thought because I had already blacked out, hitting my head on my carpet covered bedroom floor.
