Chapter 2 - Gone

Marinette's POV

I jerk awake, memories of the previous night flooding back to me. "Oh..." Was all I could manage to say at the time. Looking around, I realized Chat wasn't there. Shrugging it off, I got up, quickly getting ready for school since the time was around 7AM. For once I woke up fairly early.

The walk to school was quick, since I was left alone with my own thoughts. I regret letting chat climb into my bed cause he was scared, but at the same time, he seemed like he needed the comfort. I arrived to the school before I knew it. I guess I zoned out a bit. Oops.

I walked inside to my locker and got the things I would need for math class. Alya caught up to me and walked with me to class like usual. Sitting down, I noticed Chloe seemed angrier then usual. 'Maybe she lost a pair of shoes' I thought, giggling to myself. Chloe instantly turned around and glared at me with eyes that said "back off" and I looked away. Adrien walked into class per usual, except something was off about him. Maybe... Sad? Idunno.

I say my goodbyes to Alya as we part ways, heading home. I turned around to keep walking, only to bump into a very familiar face. The one and only- Adrien. I fell, obviously not expecting it. "Oh.. Erm.. I'm s-sorry I- uh... Didn't see y-you there" ugh idiot. I wish I could talk normally around him. "Oh no no it's my fault I should've payed more attention" he says, laughing it off and offering a hand to help me up. I hesitantly took it, smiling with gratitude. "You're not hurt right?" Adrien asks, with a look of worry on his face. "Oh uhm... N-no! I'm perfectly f-fine!" I exclaim. "That's good. Well mind if I walk you home just in case?" He asks with a apologetic smile. "Y-yes! I uh.. I m-mean no, I don't mind.. Heheh.." I mentally face palm. I hate being a stuttering mess around him.

We stop in front of the bakery and Adrien turns to look at me. "Well, that was fun. Sorry for bumping into you like that, I hope you're okay" he says, smirking. I blush, "oh n-no it's okay- really! Erm.. Do you want a-a couple cookies o-or anything? On the h-house" I say, smiling. He nods his head and we head inside greeting my family. After I gave him a couple cookies we said our goodbyes and he left. My mom instantly turns to me smiling mischievously. "Was that your boyfriend?" She says giggling. "N-no, mom of course not! He just wanted to walk me home because we bumped into each other and b-" I was cut off. "Oh honey, I was just joking. If your hungry dinner is on the counter". 'Well I wish I didn't start explaining that all out that made me sound like I was lying...'

I quickly finish up my homework and go up to my loft bed, laying down and staring out the window. I was drifting off to sleep as a heard a tap on the window. I look and there he is, staring back at me apologetically. I nod my head as a signal to come in and he quickly comes inside and shuts the window. He looks at me smirking. "Miss me?"

Ayeee so I'm not sure whether this sucks or not but here's a longer chapter. Around 500+ words lel
