The next day, I woke up on the floor. I had an awful neck crick. I got up from the floor and saw Demi sleeping beautifully. I gave her a soft kiss on her forehead, before I headed downstairs.

I went down and saw everyone on the couch, looking like they're having an intervention. "I was just going to get something to drink...Are we celebrating right now, cause I'll wake up Demi, if we are.." my mom shook her head.

"Come sit down,Joseph." I'm usually in trouble if my whole name is used. I took a sigh and sat down in a chair.

"Nicholas told me what you told him last night... Care to explain?" my mom glared at me, I glared at Nick.

I ruffled my hair, "I've known her for two weeks and I found her on a bench...she seemed so normal and she just wanted warmth, everything was fine she would pose as my girlfriend so you guys wouldn't think of me as a failure and then she would be back on the streets except I wasn't exactly going to kick her out because she's amazing and I would hate seeing her living on the streets just cause no one will give her a job." I said all in one breath, which made me need air, I placed my face in my hands not wanting to see anyone's reaction.

"YOU WHAT," my dad yelled making me look up at him. "You picked up a homeless person...she could be crazy."

"Well, you've been around her, has she seem crazy?" I crossed my arms, he didn't reply.

"But you didn't know that at the time she could have killed you?" my mom replied for him. I scoffed.

"I watched her," I said even though it was technically stocking but whatever. "I watched her for  weeks to see what she does. All she does is walk around New York and then sleep on a park bench and try to stay warm, that's why I finally approached her. Again, you guys met her...does she seem insane to you?"

"Do you know why she's homeless? Do you know anything about her,Joe?" my dad scolded me once again.

"Her parents kicked her out of the house after she graduated, they wanted her to live on her own and figure out how to grow up. Since she didn't have any money, nobody would hire her, so she ended up in a shelter and then on the streets where I finally found her and gave her a place to stay."

"That's terrible," Selena said sitting beside me and staring off into space.

"I know I lied and we shouldn't have lied, but I was over the pressure. You guys respect Selena and Danielle and I just feel like I'm a failure." I stood up and headed for the stairs.

Joe," I turned and looked at my mom. "You're not a failure." I nodded my head and walked up the stairs.

I heard ruffling when I got closer to the bedroom, I opened the door and saw Demi packing.

"I don't know I'm packing...I'm not going to wear these clothes ever again." she sniffled. I walked closer to her.

"Why you packing?" I watch her stuff her clothes in the suitcase.

"Everyone found out. It's going to be awkward, Joe. I need to sleep. I can't do awkwardness." I sighed.

"They found out because of you...You kind of spilt the beans last night to Nick and Selena and they couldn't keep their mouths shut."

She threw her head back, "See I ruined it! We were doing so good! I ruined it."

"Demi, you didn't ruin it...please stay."

She looked at me, "Please, just let me go, Joe."

"No." I cupped her face and crashed my lips on hers. We fell on the bed, "Please, stay."
